Und parting ways w/brad berry just doesnt pass the smell test. My gut tells me there’s much more to this. More than failing to advance deeper into the post season. Off ice issues must be front and center. Maybe someday all of us will know what really happened here. Go sioux!!

Did you watch any games this year?  Our play was beyond frustrating - and they were still making the same mistakes at the end of the season that they did when Augustana took it to us.

Losing coach of the MSU vs WMU game becomes UND head coach, who says no?

Not Ferschweiler. He has a huge buy out in his contract according to Schloss. He’d owe like $2 million if he left.

MSUM is obviously well-coached, but I wouldn't want UND to play this style of play, for sure.

Yes Irish. I did watch the sioux. I totally agree with you. Please know, ive never claimed to be a gr8 hockey mind. In addition, i never played the sport either. My years spent @ und were marvelous. I love the game and this team. I just get the feeling there’s a bit more here than meets the eye. There may not be anything else. Go sioux!!

Irish, there seems to be a pattern here. in no particular order.
+ BB wanted to bring in mitchell miller. Miller grew up in ohio. Miller bullied a disabled kid for many yrs. The legal system got involved. Nhl teams wanted miller. The nhl commissioner finally said. He will not play in the nhl.
+ Then we learn that BBs daughter owns the NODAK logo thats on the sioux jerseys.

+ It also seems to be true that a team captain was trying to mess with another players girlfriend. So this became an issue. The team captain really wasnt held accountable. I believe this created a problem amongst the players.

+ I just think..where there’s smoke there’s fire. I’d guess people on these forums could add to the list.
+ Do these things speak of a larger issue? Maybe BB has a hard time dealing w/tough issues. Does this lead und to wonder about ethics and integrity deficiencies? As a result, BB wouldnt be able to build a real team of winners.
+ Maybe und could see future problems. Like media outlets starting to snoop around. Issues like these can raise all holy hades. They’re very difficult to resolve and very costly as well. We all have different thoughts. I just wanted to share mine. I wont bring this up again. Thanks, Go sioux

Two of those issues were from years ago.  I highly doubt they played any part in Berry's dismissal.

not so sure, could be more of a contribution to the totality of the body of work.

If Jackson doesn't shake things up and things don't improve, then how long should he get? The college hockey world won't wait for us to get our crap together. I don't want to fall further behind.

I agree that WHOEVER it is, they should get a short leash but I would hope the AD (and whoever else) sets out a strict plan on what we should expect to see from year to year. My thought is at least 3 or 4 years. Gives them time to get settled and get THEIR players.

I have a hard time believing that Chaves or other higher ups were clueless when they brought Miller in. Unless the coaching staff deliberately hid that but I really doubt it.

There were stories out there when he decommitted from Miami.

He may be…the pre-puberty blue chippers are easy to identify…get me the guy that finds the 18-21 yr old late bloomers that are heart and soul winners…need those type of guys too.

We’ve had a lot of those guys. We need more skill.

Putting a “short leash” on a coach we haven’t even announced yet is absolute lunacy. There’s a strong chance we see a lot of portal entries, especially if it’s not Dane. Next year could be rough, if that’s the case. You have to give the coach some time. I always think a college coach should get a minimum of 4 years but I guess you could argue that’s not as necessary these days with the portal. Still, don’t agree with the short leash.

I would consider that a short leash for UNDs standards. That gives you time to get your players and implement your style of play.
you are correct, we shouldn’t expect much next year, no matter who’s our coach.

At the end of the day the players that remain here contributed to getting a coach fired. They better up their game and play to their potential.
