Not too optimistic about the team after the last two weekends...playing four games against BSU and RMU and getting ONE regulation win will do that.

Seriously...what sort of ailment does Zmolek have that they haven't been able to figure out a timeline since he was injured the week after the Providence game.  That was almost two months ago!  They might as well just call it season-ending at this point.

This series has split written all over it. One game UND will struggle to score. Another they'll get marginal goaltending. But Miami is bad enough to win one.

Last Saturday's Ralph rumor from my source, who was deep into the beers after the first period, said go back to Zmolek's missed season at Mankato. Doubts he'll play this season.

They know the diagnosis. They are trying to see if he can avoid surgery.

Brad said it best in his article with the simple line “UND’s issues have varied from night to night.”  Exactly. Nobody knows what team will show up, least of all them. .500 hockey at best from here on out

Look for an intense weekend.  Both teams know they need to sweep in order to realize their goal of winning the Penrose Cup and getting a 1 seed.

Win and a shootout win, I’m not confident the boys can get 2 clean wins. With their level of play and injury situation, it’s just unlikely. But these days we will have to be happy to come away from Miami with 4-5 points haha.  Glass half full: it smells like a weekend where unsung hero Monty is going to get 2 goals in Oxford.

me too, those team's weren't good even with a couple high end players - was it 96 they finally got back to the WCHA Final Five?  And of course 97.

I’d love to see us score 6+ goals each game but would hope our defensive effort would be better than 4+ goals allowed each game. 
But a win is a win at this point.

I saw an AWFUL Miami team take a Saturday night game from UND two seasons ago in Grand Forks.

Berry always finds a way to play down to the opposing team’s level…and I bet he does it again this weekend.

I like to think Berry mandates fireworks at REA, even for road game goals and wins.  He's such a nice guy...
