I really don’t know how a logo change will help. The name is crap which means the logo is pretty much bound to be crap.

Bingo…names so bad that the logo actually looks as good as it can.

They should have just gone with Hawks. The nickname isn't terrible that way. But it's not very original lol. I think just a hawk, like in the above post, as a logo without the lettering would be nice.

You could've put anything behind "Fighting" and it would've won: Go Fighting Haberdashers!

The new hawk-only secondary is an improvement.

I believe "Fighting Whiteys" wasn't allowed in the final round.  It would have been a fine tribute to that historic East Grand Forks restaurant.

100% correct. I've said this all along. The "Fighting" definitely swung the vote but not like there was a good option. They all sucked!

Hmm, apparently someone(s) thought that 'Fighting Sioux' was NOT a fine tribute to the state's historic/original human inhabitants.

Did you see where the NFL ‘Commanders’ are getting sued? You guessed it!!! Go Sue! (Politically correct)

IMHO, Hawks, whether fighting or any other adjective, is just too bland.  Wish using something tied to dinosaurs would have been looked into.  In regards to the postal logo, it's my wild arse guess that it was chosen as a fall guy for the wrath of the faithful.   Wonder if Sneaky Chippewas would have worked, they did manage to get thier ancestral enemies canceled.

Roughriders was doomed because a consultant found an obscure usage in (of all places) UrbanDictionary.com.

I bet many others like myself had never heard of that obscure usage until it was brought to light.

Nor had I, hence, obscure. ;)

But when it was pointed out I knew it'd never get past Twamley.
