If you throw out the games against the lower teams the offense did not produce outside of the NDSU game and maybe the Northern Arizona game. The offensive identity/template this year for success was pounding the rock.. just like the NDSU game. This is why Im down on Danny this year and not sold on him as head coach of the future.. Tommy was what he was, if you werent willing to give somebody else a try then pound the rock. If we do that yesterday we win that game even with the poorest showing by UND defense Ive just about ever seen. A win there and a win at South Dakota and there is a good chance we are playing in the quarters against a team we already beat this season. So you are saying Danny outsmarted himself. If it ain’t broken don’t fix it. We not only move the ball and score running it, we keep their qb off the field. So a quick score there does not help us other than 7 more points.
