Too lazy to look, but what year did UND lost to the Manitoba Bison?

Never.

Probably thinking about when they lost to Alberta in 96-97 or Regina in 95-96.

Just finished looking at the Herald and it has UND at 11. Even ranked St. Cloud higher,,,,,,,,,,

I have no idea what some of you people are looking at so I have decided You must be looking at last year’s ranking because this year’s ranking UND is 4 and SCSU is 12.

Pretty sure we were 11 in last year’s though.

That wasn't a ranking, it was just teams that he thinks might be interesting to keep an eye on.

And he just happened to have Goldie, DU, Q, and the purple cows as his first four "interesting" ...

Sacred Heart being in there was the giveaway to me that it was no longer a top-15 ranking list haha

it also says before he even listed the teams that it isn’t meant to be a top teams list lol

It was in my e-paper this morning. I was thinking maybe they screwed up and put last year's in my mistake. They even said Cloud had 96 per cent of their scoring back which didn't sound right to me.

Has Chris Peters historically shown disrespect to UND hockey? I haven't noticed it but that doesn't always mean much. I might have a thing or two to say about Chris Dilks but I can't recall any shade getting thrown from Chris Peters. Also if anyone hasn't listened to the Talking Hockey Sense podcast where he had Schloss on I would highly recommend it.

Yeah that’s definitely not right. UND brings back 74% of scoring back, which is one of the higher returns I’ve seen.

I actually heard another podcast with Chris Peters over the summer and he was asked what college hockey program he would recommend for top prospects to consider and he specifically mentioned UND and UMD as his top two college hockey programs.

"When young guys come in and jump from juniors to college, there will be some nervousness or guys that mishandle pucks being a little tight," UND coach Brad Berry said. "There's no tightness in his game. He's confident with the puck. He knows the next play. He finds the open guy all the time. He's just a smart, smart player."

St. Clair, who arrived on campus in 2011, said the only player he’s seen at UND with McLaughlin’s vision is Schmaltz.

“Those guys are it,” St. Clair said. “Those are the two best guys I’ve seen. They just see it different.”

“We plan on trying to put them with a couple of older players on a line instead of putting them all together early on,” Berry said of McLaughlin and Blake. “I go back to the time when we won the national championship. We had Drake Caggiula, Brock Boeser and Nick Schmaltz together. They all brought something different to the table. You want to do that.

"Both (McLaughlin and Blake) are good distributors. You probably want to put them with a Riese Gaber or Matteo Costantini or someone who can finish some plays. We have a bunch of guys who can finish. Gavin Hain is another guy who was being really productive before his injury.”

Over/Under on Gaber scoring 30 goals this year?

I'll take the under...but I bet he'll get close.
I also hope the scoring will be somewhat spread out...we have guys that can score, so hopefully we're not relying solely on Gaber to score like it felt like sometimes last year when Sanderson was out injured.

UND always holds a team shootout the day before each weekend series (or single game), so today marked Shootout No. 1 for the season. The first winner was fifth-year senior Gavin Hain, who sniped all three of his shots. He outlasted Tyler Kleven (who went 2-for-3) to win it.

Hain is ready to roll.
