burd Posted February 12, 2022 Share Posted February 12, 2022 CC has been a tough out for a lot of teams this year. They beat BC, tied UMD and SCSU, and lost by a goal to WMich. They will lose more than they win, but they can put it together at times. The difference between the 1st and 2-3rd periods last night was an illustration. Savoie's was at the end of a game with malicious intent, Moore's was in the first period and not even a penalty until reviewed. Do better, NCHC. I was skeptical of DU’s success during their run given the list of opponents they played but they’ve proven me wrong as of late as they’re continuing their run against some good opponents too-swept St. Cloud and beat Duluth last night. Does the league review every 5 minute major that’s called or could the CC coach have politicked the league to take a closer look at the play to determine whether additional punishment was warranted? -I haven’t had a chance to see replay of the hit so not aware if the extra game suspension is warranted or not. It really is up to Berry to pin down the league on why one is a suspension and the other isn’t, so he can have that in his holster for the future. But we’re talking about a head of officials that looks past Paukovich’s blow that caused Robbie Bina’s neck injury. The inquiry should come on UND Athletic Department letterhead signed by the AD and co-signed by Berry.
