Can you elaborate on the whys they gave?

They didn't elaborate, Shannon had the list of who was walking, and he listed them. They talked about who wasn't on there and who surprised them (ex: Zavalney). Didn't get into too much detail.

They graduating and being done or transferring is my question?

Would they be honored on Senior Day if they were transferring?

I may be wrong, but I'd be surprised they would have already told the coaching staff they plan on transferring after the season.

I had heard before the season that Zavalney was going to be done after this year.

Those are some nice names on the list possibly returning though. That has me excited.

Nice group to have back for another year, particularly Siegal.

I think all of the names coming back are legitimate impact players.

After a year in the system Buckner will probably have a bigger impact next year, and hopefully still this year.  Fort back and healthy next year, KK, Coley and Ball back at Safety, Siegal back and the other younger corners with another year of experience we should have depth and experience in the secondary next year to hopefully take a step forward on the defensive side of the ball.   Need some more dynamic play at OLB yet though.

I thinking the same thing.  Plus some underclassman freshman and sophomore after a year in the system could step up and challenge.

Thanks to all the seniors and early graduators - Enjoyed watching you play. Thanks for all the hard work and your contributions to UND football. You be will be missed. Good luck to you as you transition to civilian life. Hugs!

Amen!

Couldn't someone choose to walk (or I guess not walk) and change their mind later?  If it was me and I was 50/50 on coming back, I'd walk just in case I chose not to come back.  Not saying there will be any changes, but just a comment.  Let's take care of business on Saturday.
