We'd all save money and resources. Walz mandates something.....2-3 days later Dougie does the same. Just a domino effect. 1
UNDBIZ Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 Having visited a popular restaurant for carryout last night, I'd guess it was just a matter of time before they all went that route anyway to save money. Nobody was there. Several had already closed their doors before Doug's orders.

However, there’s no real need to test. My employer just released their latest testing guidelines and say no testing for mild to moderate illness. They say stay home for seven days or until three day after symptom resolution, whichever is longer. I still think it’s the flu, but I suppose it’s possible. Yesterday was by far the worst day - I literally could not crawl out of bed and had a headache that lasted all thru last night. Still coughing pretty thick today, but I feel light years better than I did 24-36 hours ago. A good night’s sleep tonight should do more wonders for me tomorrow.

The FDA has done the same (yes, they visit hospitals). Other authorities are also loosening some of their requirements for inpatient pharmacies secondary to the massive PPE shortage. It's nice to see regulatory bodies showing some grace here. JCAHO can keep their visits suspended for eternity. 1
LuvHockey Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 Unable to confirm...but my son tells me friends in Duluth say a local distillery-bar-restaurant business is now closed, so they converted the distillery to making hand sanitizer. And give it away. Nice and kudos if actually true..

yzerman19 Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 I’m curious why the success of Chloroquine isn’t being more broadly shared...especially by the media

I mean, why wouldn’t they want to report something positive in this crisis? 4

But of course it wasn't about the positives. It was about how he "lied" (FDA approved). I often wonder if Trump throws little "quirks" into his speeches just to get people to talk about it. 2

siouxfaninseattle Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 There is an interesting video on YouTube from about 4-5 years ago with Bill Gates pretty much predicting that this would happen. And how it could have relatively easily been avoided.

But he talked about it in the context of "war". He knows all these countries really are trying to develop viruses as weapons. He was forewarning how to fight a "new type of war." 1

Let me get this straight. So nonessential businesses can't be open in some states. But when an employee actually has Coronavirus its completely fine to have that business open? https://www.vox.com/recode/2020/3/19/21186322/amazon-warehouse-coronavirus-covid-19-worker-tested-positive-delivery-station-queens-new-york I can't take a dump at a North Dakota rest area but I can go rub elbows right now in NYC with people who were just rubbing elbows with a highly contagious individual. That make a lot of sense. At what point is this all just grandstanding. 3

Must have had 20 friends and co-workers suggest that I immediately go get tested for COVID-19. Shaking my head... OK so I'm going to preface this with I rarely get sick. Like haven't taken a sick day in years (yes I'm dumb bc I don't get anything for not using them). Is it normal to have the flu for 4 days? Doesn't that make you question things??? I know my brother and his family all had it for like 5 days this winter and he was saying how he's never been that sick for that long.
yzerman19 Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 Full lockdown in CA...my family has been essentially quarantined for a week and a half, so not a ton changes, but it’s pretty surreal. I’m getting sick of the doom porn out there. I don’t think anyone doubts the seriousness of this, but let’s talk about wins. Gavin saying 22million Californians are going to get sick just insights fear. 1
