U of M to recommend to go back in-person for Fall and to adjust their calendar to finish by Thanksgiving.

Would assume the rest of the system and MNSCU will follow.

Heard they were looking at block scheduling so can wrap up entire courses in a shorter time in case they need to shut down again.   Limit the number of courses that would be impacted rather than all of them.

The OneFargo sit-in at Island Park in Fargo recently ended peacefully.

Over 1000 in attendance. Time for Burgum and Mahoney to let ND and Fargo go back to business as usual without restrictions.....restaurants, retail businesses, churches, youth activities. Just to name a few.

Walz to phase in "sports" June 10.

"Pods" of no more than 10 individual can participate. No intermingling of pods. No drills or competition which would potentially cause contact. Follow 6' social distancing whenever possible.

Social gatherings will be permitted with outdoors of no more than 25 people. Indoors of no more that 10.

So to summarize.......no youth baseball, volleyball, hockey, football, soccer or basketball scrimmaging or games yet. No mention of church and attendance but I'll assumine church services are still not allowed unless you limit to 25 outdoors or 10 indoors.

Protest assembly in mass into the thousands without social distancing while throwing in rioting, looting and civil disobedience for 10 days now and none of that is an issue.

Where’d Walz go to high school and college at? Need to know so my future kids don’t come into contact with those institutions at all just the like COVID. What a meat stick!

Walz was born in West Point, Nebraska, the son of Darlene R. and James F. "Jim" Walz. He is of German, Irish, and Swedish ancestry.[4] The son of a public school administrator and community activist, Walz was raised in Chadron, Nebraska, a rural community in the northwestern portion of the state.

Walz graduated from Butte High School in a class of 25 students, and went on to earn a bachelor of science degree in social science education from Chadron State College.

A cynic might say those gatherings are made up mainly of the least susceptible demographic. If everyone there caught it at the event the stress on the medical system would be near nil. But in two weeks the herd immunity numbers would be such that the virus is no longer an issue.

Don't they say protests are great experiments ... In, um ... Yeah, democracy.

They have been allowed since the 27th of May at 25% max capacity or 250 people.  On the 10th, it bumps up to 50%

They became “legal” again when the most powerful man in St. Paul said “stop me” to the governor.

Say what? Say Archbishop Hebda told Walz he was opening the Catholic Churches. Walz capitulated because he knew he’d lose.

Well there goes that straw man...

What straw man?  Its June 6th and Walz is still trying to regulate everything even though he didn't do a damn thing about tens if thousands of protesters gathering 1 foot from each other.

It’s about time someone in a church of any denomination stood up to this insanity!

Meet inside the church?  Can’t risk Coronavirus!  Protest OUTSIDE the church?  By all means, go ahead!

If you’re suggesting topless outdoor gatherings, then that’s a movement I could get behind.  Or out in front of.

The one where people are using church gatherings as an example of things that are banned despite them being allowed for the last two weeks.

The Supreme Court upheld the legality of limitations on church gatherings, it's hardly a Walz/Minnesota issue.

The demands were many yesterday by the organizers of the OneFargo rally but one struck out in particular.......

"End police tear gas, rubber bullets to "terrorize protesters" and instead use nonviolent tactics, ones that respect the right to protest including those who use civil disobedience."

Can't make this stuff up.

To summarize....let's us do what we want, when we want under the guise of a "protest" which can include criminal activity but we want no police response whatsoever.

The last demand on this list: Stop surveiling activists in the F-M area.

What are you talking about?  Their demands specifically state civil disobedience, which by definition is non-violent. (did you intentionally omit the civil part?)

Police using non-violent methods to apprehend non-violent rule-breakers is what we do in America.  Or maybe it’s different in Fargo nowadays??  Do they also tear gas shoplifters and fire rubber bullets at speeders?

For f-sake, have we entered the Twilight Zone here?    Heavy-handed policing, controlling government and intrusive surveillance is the downright antithesis of Conservative values.  Err..,well, maybe not; it appears to be welcomed by some if directly aimed at Darkie Jefferson,  Illegal Juanita, Homo Leon, and Snowflake Katie.:silly:

On the COVID front.....4034 tests in ND with 71 positives.

Still can't play 5 on 5 basketball or have youth participate in a soccer match.
