darell1976 Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Big win for the program and our new coach!! Quote
Wilbur Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Congrats to the hoopsters on a big win against a Big Ten team. 1 Quote
Kassonvike Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Anyone find a way to watch this game? Quote

SiouxVolley Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Hoiberg was down on his offense, but said the defense was satisfactory. That must mean UND's defense did their job. Quote
southpaw Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Full highlights of the game: Their color guy is so boring on the broadcast. 1 Quote
SiouxVolley Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 UND now has a better real time RPI than Nebraska - 204 vs 221. EWU has a surprisingly high RPI and FGCU's is bad. http://realtimerpi.com/rpi_445_Men.html Quote
BarnWinterSportsEngelstad Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 UND played a good game, stuck with it to the end, great win - bringing home truck loads of experience! When you win games like this one, the program transitions from "hopes" into "believes" and better things should follow. 1 Quote
CMSioux Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Too bad this epic win gets lost in holiday shuffle. Quote
Nodak78 Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Sather is proving to be a great coach. In a difficult OOC schedule much on the road against bigger team they have improved. This Young team needed to learn defense, rebounding, FT's down the stretch and committing less turnovers will win games. As I listen to post game and the write up on the game mentioned the importance of contesting the last shoot for Nebraska. Coach Sather is developing process to win games. I think we are in for a fun ride. Quote
Feff Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Looking at those highlight, what atrocious defense by Nebraska, so many drives almost uncontested. With that said, UND players took full advantage and showed no hesitation. Fantastic game and that last shot was guarded about as well as you possibly can without risking a foul. Great way to close out the game and get the win against the P5. PS: that Nebraska "color" guy was just atrociously boring. Quote
UND1983 Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Watching USD vs KC right now - the Yotes are not a good team. Ick. The Summit League is wide open this year, talent is down, no dominant teams really. Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Beating Nebraska has certainly increased my interest in UND men’s basketball. It was the type of came we always found a way to lose. Not anymore! You need to prove you can do it once before you can do it again. Quote
Kab Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 What would Jones have done the last 2 minutes lose 1 Quote

It might be a confidence thing. Do we have some players that won’t let it slip away? Are we building a different attitude and expectations in games and practice? Quote
gfhockey Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 In fairness to jones I’d presume we shave same record less this game Quote

It makes me think you're right...we could be in for a fun ride! Quote

I would not be surprised Coach Sather will be the Best Coach at UND since Fitch. It will not be long before we see the players giving it all and winning games not expected. Quote

He already has a win over a Big 10 team on his very short resume, and he has an OOC road win, something Jones struggled to do in his tenure. Quote
Siouxperfan7 Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Sather is going to get this team back to the Dance. May not be this year, but it will happen. sure it's 1 win and conference play has yet to begin, but in his short time coaching this team, you can already see signs of improvement. 3 Quote
