Say the same about Wentz getting the Eagles in the playoffs in 19’ I believe with basically practice receivers. Not making any excuses for Carson but he didn’t exactly have a great Oline throughout his 7 years. If he doesn’t tear his knee up in 17’ I think it’s a completely different career up to this point. But injuries happen and life goes on

You don't draft a guy #1 overall to win a wild card game though. Dude didn't get a second contract.

Frozen4sioux
What kind of terrible human being does one need to be to bag on a guys misfortunes singularly based on where he went to college a few years ago. Only a terribly small and pathetic human would find such self gratification. .... but that's really not news to anyone here.

Both of these sets of numbers are staggering per win and per TD.

Not saying you are right or wrong but you're ignoring the significant draft capital that King was also taking into account. By his count, it was five 1st or 2nd team All Pros that were taken with picks given up to acquire him. It was about more than just money.

But you also need to consider what every time that's had Wentz had to give up in order to get him. Some teams, especially Philly mortgaged the farm. Some teams, especially Philly mortgaged the farm. Philly mortgaged the farm and got exactly what they paid for, a Super Bowl. They don’t win the Super Bowl that year without the regular season that Wentz lead them through. Foles was in the right place at the right time, with the right opportunity and the right coaches around him. Good for him, he maximized the opportunity he was given, but would have never been in that position without Wentz. So I’ll say again, Philly got exactly what they paid for.
