Wilbur Posted December 15, 2018 Posted December 15, 2018 28-0 from Cheney at the half. NDSU 56......EWU 21 from Frisco. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted December 15, 2018 Posted December 15, 2018 Frisco is a grass field. NDSU's O-line is probably just behind Ohio State's in the Big 10. I'll put the over/under at 7.8 yards per carry vs EWU when it's all said and done. Quote
Fry Bread Posted December 15, 2018 Posted December 15, 2018 Fan turnout looks light. Must be bingo in town Quote
Wilbur Posted December 15, 2018 Posted December 15, 2018 35-5. Which are also the odds Vegas will give you on EWU over NDSU..... Quote

Wilbur Posted December 15, 2018 Posted December 15, 2018 The number of guys that run wide open in some of these games......did he blend into the turf??? What do they say when they look at the film???? 43-19 EWU. Quote

UND hockey has more games though and greater variability given the REA (general admission vs suites vs bar seats, etc.). It’s not straightforward at all. Discuss, but remember this thread is FCS football based. As for NDSU football vs Rose Bowl, if only UND hockey could be so lucky to be competitively compared to upper level competition (NHL games?). Hell, the NCAA hockey regionals are typically half empty. And if Portland St played Maine in a FCS play-off game at let's say a regional in Cincinnati, it would be at least half empty too. Point made is that the NCAA is stupid playing hockey regionals at neutral based sites. For some reason they're a little bit smarter about it when it comes to FCS football playoffs. 2 Quote

NCAA playoffs that don’t break even like FCS, Volleyball, Women’s basketball, soccer etc have home court advantages until later rounds. Thats just the way it is. Quote

K-State says they gained all the NDSU fans too.... Why didn’t someone put this man on Obama Care or world hunger? 5 Quote

EWU will have to score in the 60's to win because NDSU will if they have to. Not saying NDSU will score 60 because they most likely won't have to, but they will if they have to. EWU's defense is not going to be able to stop NDSU. Quote

The Sicatoka Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 EWU v. NDSU will be determined by who sets the tempo. If, somehow (as in 10% chance of happening), EWU gets their track-meet tempo going they could simply race past NDSU. NDSU isn't used to playing from behind and surely not having to pass, a lot, playing catch-up. Possible? Yes. However ... Much more likely is that NDSU plays a game that keeps the EWU defense on the field and wears them out. Meanwhile the EWU offense is watching from the sidelines and not establishing any rhythm. Massey says EWU has a 1 in 6 chance (16%). I'd agree with that with most of that chance being tempo (see above) and the rest being NDSU having a rare, unexpected off day. Quote

Massey could be right, but he had us wrong as far as getting in the NCAA's during the last week of regular season (most of us included). This could be a good match up. Bison are very strong against the run, but could be vulnerable against EWU's passing game? EWU's defense is going to be vulnerable to the running game. Quote
