I get the point. I even agree.  I'm just saying that I don't think everyone who votes agrees, and that's why he's not getting adequate recognition for one hell of a season.

Ahh, I getcha.

Those maroon seats disguised as gopher fans have turned into green seats disguised as gopher fans. Tons of empty seats!!  Meanwhile, packed house all day at the Target Center.

This made me laugh from GPL....

We were at Target Center today and saw a lady Badger fan with a sign that read, "Hey BIG Hockey, look where I'm spending my dollars!"

Should have gotten a picture of that...

Lowell wins in 3OT on a, let's put it kindly, "redirected" goal off of a skate.

Can't even believe that the officials counted that.  Clearly angled his skate perfectly for the deflection into the next.

Which makes it legal. You can't kick the puck in but you can direct.

Was it a "distinct kicking motion"? That's up for debate. I didn't think so.

Should be an interesting HE final.  You have a team that basically played 2 games yesterday vs a team that will essentially be playing it's 2nd game today.

Question: Let's say Duluth, Northeastern, and Minnesota all win tonight. Who's out of the tournament as a result? Would Yale be out?

Duluth is in.

Yes, that's the one situation that kicks Yale out, I believe.

Making my bold prediction of the day:

SCSU and Minnesota win tonight.

West becomes SCSU/Minn, DU and BU (shipped west because of 3 eastern in 9-12)

Midwest becomes UND/BobbyMo, Mich and Notre Dame

The NCAA gets solid attendance at both St. Paul and Cincy.

Messing with the pairwise predictor if it looks like if Quinnipiac loses and both St. Cloud and UND win St. Cloud would finish #1 and UND #2. So if Minnesota wins the B1G the question would be does the committee keep St. Cloud close to home in St. Paul to play Minnesota and UND then gets to play the bottom seed Atlantic hockey winner in Cincy or would they switch that around. I think if that ends up being the situation I would rather face the Atlantic winner in Cincy.

I'm not worried about the prospect of playing Minnesota as a 4-seed.  I think they look pitiful.  Northeastern is another matter, though thankfully NU isn't likely to be sent to Cincy or St. Paul.

He has long been one of the favorite refs of players.  When relatively fit people get injured from falling, I always wonder if the fall was completely accidental, or if something happened medically (vertigo, MI, stroke, seizure, etc.) to cause the fall in the first place.  Hopefully Butch has a quick recovery.

I see this happening as well.

I would love that draw.  The more I think about it the more I want to avoid Saint Paul and the region of death,

I think it is highly likely that Northeastern gets sent to Cincinnati or St. Paul.  If Northeastern makes the tournament they are locked in as a #4 seed and can't play Providence.  If Quinnipiac wins they will be the #1 overall seed, and Northeastern would be sent to either Cincinnati or St. Paul.  IMO, the only way Northeastern stays east is if Quinnipiac loses and is the #3 overall seed, which requires both North Dakota and SCSU to win.
