Pretty pathetic for a fan discussion board - now get back to your Middle School homework.

Man, what happened to the UMD fan website?
The Penalty Box or whatever it was called.

Seems odd those fans just migrated over to SS.com or GPL instead of keeping their own forum going.  :)

You're missing the point - I detest Duluth - but want UND to get back to this kind of prominence.  That mainly involves improving our tournament performance.  If Duluth and Denver can do it there is no reason why we can't.

Nah, my point still stands.  ;)
If anything, gfhockey could hang out there instead then.

I’d rather have spicer for 3 more years then having hain or sendan grindaz for one more year

What if Sendo and Hain go win a banner?

I asked this question, not sure if it was directed to him specifically, and got no response. Shocking, right?

And what if Hain scores more goals in his super-senior year than Spicer does in his entire college career?

Think you got woes?

Boston College on line one ...

2021-22 - did not qualify
2020-21 - lost in NCAA regional final (v SCSU) but never played regional semi because of Covid, so no win
2019-20 - (no tournament)
2018-19 - did not qualify
2017-18 - did not qualify
2016-17 - did not qualify
2015-16 - lost in NCAA semis (Frozen Four) to Q'piac in Tampa

Or Boston University on line two ...

2021-22 - did not qualify
2020-21 - lost in NCAA regional semi game (v SCSU, see above)
2019-20 - (no tournament)
2018-19 - did not qualify
2017-18 - won regional semi (v Cornell), lost NCAA regional final (v Michigan),
2016-17 - won regional semi (v UND  ), lost NCAA regional final (v UMD)
2015-16 - lost NCAA regional semis (v DU)

Full disclosure: North Dakota

2021-22 - lost NCAA regional semi OT v Notre Dame <-- probably will cause another rule book change
2020-21 - won regional semi (v AIC), lost NCAA regional final 5OT v UMD <-- game that caused a tourney structure change!
2019-20 - (no tournament)
2018-19 - did not qualify

2017-18 - did not quality
2016-17 - lost NCAA regional semi (v BU) <-- game caused a rule book change!
2015-16 - "Tampa" -- National Champions

The rest of this century for UND.
This probably set unrealistic expectations as this is UND's statistically, historically abnormal run.

2000 – National Champion
2001 – National runner up
2002 – DNQ
2003 – L regional semi
2004 – L regional final
2005 – National runner up
2006 – Frozen Four
2007 – Frozen Four
2008 – Frozen Four
2009 – L regional semi
2010 – L regional semi
2011 – Frozen Four
2012 – L regional final
2013 – L regional final
2014 – Frozen Four
2015 – Frozen Four
2016 – National Champion

Now you're just being silly.

The Vegas line on that is zero chance and I'd still bet the under.

You aren't taking into consideration that Spicer will be pushing his pro team to sign him after he scores 5 goals next year!

Haha....fair point.

Let's just not think someone coming of multiple ligament reconstruction knee surgery who will play a 3rd line checking role and on the PK is cause for everyone who's a fan of this team to take a daily cold shower because of the anticipation and excitement of what he'll bring to the table. A valuable piece to this team....yes but let's not get carried away.

Couldn't the same be said of a projected 6th round draft pick who's pushing to come in before an experienced staff thinks he's ready and supposedly feels like he has the talent to be leaving college early?

This created the 16th forward slot this year.

Without that, and carrying 16F as insurance, there wouldn't be a conversation at all.

Last year they went 27: 15F/8D/4G; this year the 27: 16F/8D/3G, per Schlossman.

Don't make it sound like Berry is a master recruiter and has been golden on every recruiting decision he's made.

Hain has been here 4 years......you are who you are at this level after that timeframe.

He definitely deserved an opportunity to come back if he wanted to based on his season ending injury last year.

Just find it interesting how the UND/GF "community" has no problem eating one of its own all of a sudden.

Not that it makes a big difference, but IIRC 2011 should read Frozen Four, not National runner up.

You're right. That game is still a nightmare.

Not sure what all the gossip is about spicer (wise cracks, etc). Kid felt slighted and moved, it’s his call to make.

And he may only score 5 goals next year. But I’d bet top dollar over his career he does a lot better than most of the guys we’ve been carrying the past 2 years or so (outside of the obvious).

If @gfhockey would like to slobber and fawn all over UMD hockey, by all means. :)  It's a free country. You also might want to take a look, under Sandelin there were a few lean years at UMD, too.

Choosing Duluth effectively makes his ability/likelihood to transfer here non-existent. Time to start prepping the personalized chants for his appearances at the Ralph.

Traitor! Traitor! Masterb..!    Fits well with the diving corp.

Think Berry or Hakstol would have been the same with a subpar facility like the old DECC?  Look at Sandelins record once he got a decent facility to recruit to for more of an apples to apples comparison.
