Nice game today too

Great read on when to jump the zone and made no doubt on the breakaway.

Thought he played a great 4th line center today, very responsible defensively, won some draws too.

That team is so loaded its stupid.

Had they not brought in DeRidder, could Hobie have come in this year?

He just turned 19yo, so he certainly could have come in this year.
Another year in juniors certainly couldn't hurt him though (just like Spicer!  ;) ), as his stats this year finally started to look a bit better.

From Schloss:

Quote

Most USHL points by UND commits, last 20 yrs
77 - J. BLAKE (1.26 ppg)
76 - M. Cichy (1.36)
72 - O. MCLAUGHLIN (1.16)
69 - J. Gregoire (1.28)
68 - B. Boeser (1.19)
63 - N. Schmaltz (1.15)
61 - D. JAMES (0.98)
61 - C. Adams (1.03)
59 - S. Pinto (1.05)
57 - B. STRINDEN (0.93)

Certainly some offensive talent coming in next year.  It'll be fun watching them progress and seeing how well their game translates to the college level.

Right?  That's crazy.
5 goals in two seasons with UND (48 games)
6 goals in two seasons with WMU (71 games)

He's been playing in Poland ever since his NCAA career ended.

A couple guys on that list had immediate impacts in NCAA hockey...others took a year or two to get up to speed.
But none of them just disappeared like Cichy.

Looks to be a decent overager get. Didn’t get drafted last summer. Guessing he plays another two years in the ushl

“Cody has grown from an offensively talented player, to a full 200-foot warrior that is strong in all areas of the ice. However, we’re most proud of Cody’s maturity into a Godly young man. He returned to Northstar this year with a goal of growing academically, athletically and spiritually and we believe Cody is ready to leave here and be a great leader.”

GRINDA, but culture guy. I like it.
