When it doesn't smell like dogshit.  Is that plant still open?

You don't be in Greeley on the days that the meat packing plants burn the blood. Those are the stinky days.

LOL, when we went there a few years ago it was definitely pretty bad on the way into town... I remember that I had read about the stink on this message board, but never thought it would actually be as bad as it was!  Luckily, I don't remember smelling it on campus.  I think it smelled worse than dogshit - more like rotting flesh.  Kind of like the smell in South St. Paul... times about 20.

So will the Sitting Bull trophy be up for grabs in 2020?  UND360 seems to think so.  Obviously it wasn't [played for in 2016 and 2017, but will they resurrect the trophy when they are back in the same conference?    In this day and age, would UND even consider it?

If they can’t, they should start working on another one.

No reason why not to.

Which brings up the questing...Will UND play for any rivalry trophies in the MVFC with NDSU, USD, or SDSU?!

I don't think I have ever heard of one with SDSU and UND.

From my understand and reading, they are looking into making a new trophy for UND and NDSU.

I sure hope there will be at least one by 2020.

As of this very moment in time the UND Side would have 2.0 (or the GPA to be eligible, maybe it is 2.5)  NDSU side has to have Ben Newman slamming a "Clean Victory"

But, I suppose a broader look will be required.

I don't see why the oldest schools in SD and ND can't play for the Sitting Bull Trophy. Its about a historical burial than two mascots on a coin which the nickel represented. https://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/28961

Hadn't seen this posted.  UND will have a home/home with Dixie State.  2022 (H) and 2024 (A).  2020 is their first transitioning year to D1.

One thing I don't like about these as they appear to fall in the conference season, so the bye week for UND during this time frame will be at the beginning of the season.

Scheduled during our bye week.  First game not until October.  Not a fan.

Looking at our next few years schedules, our bye weeks are as follows - this does not impress me having our bye week in September 4 straight years - although with a 12 game year in 2024 it looks like our bye will also be in September as Dixie St looks to take up our during season bye so five straight year (so 9/21 should be our bye):

2020 - 9/19 (OOC Portland State on 10/24)

2021 - either 9/19 or 9/26 (first week of conference season open)

2022 - 9/10 (OOC Dixie State on 10/29)

2023 - either 9/2 or 9/30 (again first week of conference is bye week)

2024 - 9/21 (OOC Dixie State on 9/21 - other 4 non-conf first three weeks of season)

I believe this will be the norm in the MVFC

Oct 1 would be the Potato Bowl, hope it doesn't snow during the parade.
