Carter Pabst...committed to UND....flipped to SDSU.....went to Washington State....now in portal....

Not sure if he is going to Iowa State with his coach.  will know in January I think. Anthony Palano, another former SDSU recruit now at WSU is also in the portal.

(put this elsewhere if that is where it belongs.)

Can we dispense with the 'heartfelt' love letters when players leave a school?

They all do it but if they were believed all of what they post they wouldn't be leaving.

ChatGPT can write it in sincere, super sincere and heartfelt versions.

Different era, scouts are at UND practices regularly. They found Waletzko.

How come no yearly draft picks or free agent signings then?

Wonder if former Minnesota Mr. Football will hit the portal. Played in 7 games at SDSU and went with the coach to WSU. Don't think he plans on following the coach to Iowa St.

He was originally an NDSU recruit but flipped to the Rabbits. New coaches at NDSU so he may end up there, but he would be a good get.

I believe AC/DC has a song that Weird Al could possibly parody to describe the transfer portal.

I wonder does the coaching staff do exit interviews on these kids to get an idea why some of them thrive and love the program perhaps in spite of limited playing time while others just can't wait to get out of here even if playing a lot. Is this the world we live in today, instant gratification and greed?  Would like to see a profile chart of real reasons for leaving.

I am certain they do. However if they are out the door in their mind they may not share much. Similar to a job exit interview (speaking of a waste of time). Wasn't it shared that Mal had meetings with her team and the next day they all went into the portal?

I don't think you would get an honest response.  Your best bet might be meetings with team Captains to see what is going on, what is working and not working to find out why players are leaving.

Its odd because the few players I've talked to love playing for Schmitt.  I spoke with one guy early before the season started and they had just had a conditioning session earlier in the day.  He told me they were working very hard and he loved it.

I'll be interested to see where some of the guys end up.  If P4, than I will understand.  Anywhere else it is a bad sign.

If they don't like hard work, then it's probably best they go someplace else.

Does Danny have a landing spot yet? Have looked but didn’t see anything.

His Twitter still says WSU. Maybe he's staying there?

How did their season go offensively?  Interesting that Rogers went with a different OC at ISU.

Nothing special, 21.6 ppg and 314 ypg. They were tied for 1st in the Pac 12 though 🤪
