Popular Post MoSiouxFan Posted 18 hours ago Popular Post Posted 18 hours ago Could really use Z. I think that he could have made a difference in at least two of the three games that we lost late in the season. 2 6 Quote

Shawn-O Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago I’ve been skeptical in the past and Tennessee Tech is a damn good football team I’m sure, but Chaves came through on this one. Quote

Sadly lol. Hopefully this is the start of good things. Maybe baby steps for Jerry as well, as he finally drove us down the field and delivered on the two point conversion, only to lose in overtime. Hopefully that helps the confidence in those situations moving forward. 2 Quote
The Sicatoka Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago TTU is updating their stadium. Last time UND hit one of those (being updated, Nichols St) UND got tents and porta-johns in the parking lot. This time I've heard the home locker room is being surrendered to UND. TTU being civil hosts or did the NCAA change some policy or guideline? 2 2 Quote
AJS Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Just win... but also. Really would love to see (1) Offense get its mojo back. I actually don't think for the most part it was that bad against SDSU. Limit turnovers and fix the goal line issues. Spread the ball out more (use the TE's!). (2) Special Teams. Have Laughman drive the ball as far as he can on kickoffs / would be nice if they have to kick a FG if he goes perfect again. Quote
wheelsup Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Problem with the offense has been turnovers and play calling in short yardage.. 1 INT first 7 games.. 8 INT in the last 5.. add in fumbles as well. Offense has been putting the D in bad situations. Clean it up and we win at least 2 if not all 3 of the games we lost out of the last 4 im excited for the game Saturday.. chip and a chair.. bracket sets up nice for UND.. just wish the Saturday game was a little easier to get to, 1 Quote
Midwestern Hawk Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago This team could roll through the first 3 games or it could lay an egg in TN. For all our sake, I hope we roll. 1 Quote
cowboys5xsbs Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I was just going through some schedules and noticed UT Martin and the Salukis played and it was a blowout for the Salukis. UT Martin and Tennessee Tech just had a 20-17 game last week. We really shouldn't lose this game. 2 Quote

That gameplan should come in handy for our defense this week. Quote

siouxfan512 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Unfortunately, this team is at a far different place than they were earlier this season; they looked almost unstoppable. Then we get swept by the Dakota schools, all of which could have been wins. I don't know what the issue was at the end of the season .... injuries? playcalling? burn out? We definitely saw Jerry stumble a bit but can't put everything on him either; still love what I have seen from this kid. Some strange playcalling at times (kind of like the Vikings). Schmidt wasn't going to get it all done in year one, though I was hoping with where we were at that he would have finished a bit better than we did. Regardless it's a new season, so let's see what we can do. Positives: - The potential is there. - If they start clicking again, they could upset a team or two - This team is still far better than last year and looks to be moving in the right direction. Negatives: - Injuries may just be too much to overcome. Quote

LH Golfer Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Coaches: prepare, prepare, and prepare some more. Players: execute, execute, and execute. This is the post season, no moral victories or good losses. No looking forward to next week. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Our team got new life yesterday. I’d expect them to play looser than we’ve seen recently. That should help the offense. Quote
Longtime fan Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Looks like Tech has some athletes. Big rb 225 lbs and a few smaller twichy WRs. Qb looks good. On D they have an absolute beast of man in the middle. 305 lbs and is very athletic. 9 sacks I believe. Little bit I watched he was moving OL like Reggie white back in the day. He will need to be double teamed. If the und team that was 6-2 shows up… very confident the travel home with the victory. If the 1-3 team shows up …seasons a wrap Quote
Popular Post Dustin Posted 2 hours ago Popular Post Posted 2 hours ago Not sure which thread it was in - I couldn't immediately respond at the time - but there was discussion about scheduling FCS non-conf. to pad wins vs. scheduling tough/FBS opponents. Now that the bracket has been announced, and it does appear that SOS is a factor, even with a record that includes 5 losses, I am still in favor of scheduling the tough/FBS teams. May as well build the character needed for deep playoff runs. 4 1 Quote

Totally agree. We're the only 7-5 team in the field, and I don't think that we have to apologize for it. Need to make a good showing. Quote
SIOUXFAN97 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago i totally see ike calling a fleaflicker on the fist offensive play...with simon in shotgun and bj is wide open and the ball lands 20 yds short... then up the gut with jerry for 2 up the gut the ss for 3 punt. Quote

Otherwise in future years they'll think "we let these guys in every year and they poop the bed." A nice 2 wins in the playoff this yr.... equals...next year... "Just look what happened last year when UND was 7-5 and we let them in when some people thought we shouldnt!" Because 7-5 is the height of the bell curve for UND (and most MVFC teams). Its cant be the same stuff different year. We don't need a win we have to win. A win will be good for recruiting, there is still time to flip some players and convince Sydel to stay and not go to the big boys. A run would help tremendously. 2 Quote
