They  have a  QB with a 65% completion rate. They have a huge oline ( like SD State) and 9 RB’s averaging 5 or more yds/carry. They are undefeated in FCS games.  They typically have good skill players in their league.  This won’t  be easy. We will need to play our best (complete) game of the year.

They look tough.  They also played an extremely weak schedule….but they did what they had to do and absolutely destroyed (40-17 ave margin)all the competition. 
 

Having played the schedule und had this year and tech not playing anyone close to a und caliber team I expect und to come out swinging and leading at the half.  Tech will settle at half, collect themselves and have a second half  burst.  If unds offense it moving the ball they win. If unds offense is like the last months offense they will lose.  It’s imperative that unds offense comes alive.  It’s playoff time. Now or never.

Ground and pound. That’s the answer. We are from a power conference that plays power football. That is our advantage over everyone. We need to use it.

Chaves did appropriately focus attention on strength of schedule, and this situation is not mutually exclusive …

Both the wins (UND football) and the appropriate focus on strength of schedule and the quality losses (Chaves) deserve credit ..

Agree longtime fan. Me too. Since 1954 when I was 7. I'll be 79 b4 next season so I need them to win soon! Been waiting for another championship. Go Hawks!

Losing this game would be pretty dissapointing.  Tenessee Tech is not close to some of the tougher teams we have faced this year.

Certainly. We could also lose. Losses in 3 of last 4 with the only win against Murray State. We were trailing an 0-10 Murray State team at the half so we should probably not take an 11-1 team too lightly regardless of their strength of schedule.

This has the makings of a Nichols State if we aren't ready to go.  That team ran all over us and we just never got our footing from the get go.  

Hope the team values the 2nd life they were given this morning and plays with nothing to lose the rest of the way.

It is no coincidence that now that SU's Larson is no longer in the room UND got a fair shake. We finished tied for third in the toughest conference in FCS. Yes I know that the conference rep can't speak about teams within their conference, but there are others way to have influence. We weren't even last four in - that shows that the committee did their homework and used the correct criteria.

Need to start fast and have a good run game! Limit there offensive touches, in doing so, gets them out of rhythm and limit adjustments against our D. 
 

I would expect them to try to replicate what the Dakotas did to us on defense.
