A change in leadership and attitude at the top could change everything. The team could become greater than the sum of its parts.

That, and I am thinking we have plenty of talent should they get everyone to stay, combined with the factors you mention, and a re-energized fanbase and we could rebound.
I hardly think the cupboard is bare when you could be starting with possibly the last 2 USHL Player’s of the year, the best returning forward in the league, if Bump leaves, and the best returning defenseman, when Buium signs.
Another year under the belt for a young defense, and hopefully a healthy return of Zmolek, could do wonders.
McLaughlin and Perron would need to step it up, but if you could get a potential high first round pick like Carter Bear in the lineup with his motor, it might be example for the rest.
Who knows if they could also add another impact player from the portal or Major Juniors.

Plenty there for a new coach to work with if he can convince people to stick around and infuse a new excitement and culture.

Per source Perron to michigan

Interesting. Coaches never seemed to use him properly.

If true, wonder if he'll take off under Naurato or not. Whitelaw didn't but that's partially a product of Michigan being mediocre af.

Wondering if the coaching change will make high end CHLers a bit more hesitant to go to UND for the next year or two. Also, Carter Bear might not be fully healthy for much of if not all of 2025-26 with the partial Achilles tear.

Maybe not used properly but definitely needs to get stronger on the puck.

100k in NIL is all it took.  I was a bit surprised to learn the amount wasn’t higher.  Man NIL money sucks for hockey compared to bb and fb

So the problem was the head coach??? This is the 2nd laziest hire of the week for our A.D. This makes Berry the problem and Dane was his Asst coach for every year; so dumb

I thought Canadians weren't eligible for NIL money?

He's also one of the worst "impact" forwards at even strength we've had in years. Look at his stats 5 on 5 in his two seasons. Pretty wild. He's got work to do. Has the skill, but not sure he has that extra level of "want to"

Alright.
Let's roll.
Congrats to Dane, time to move forward and right the ship.

Let's get Herter in as an assistant while you're at it.

Yes, sir! Let's get to work, Jax.
