Never liked him repping my Tigers. Lane Kiffin would bring some serious fireworks to Death Valley

When he left Notre Dame many Notre Dame fans said it would be good for the program, myself included. We have been proven right.

Reminds me  back to the 2001 national title game who ran into him at a local party the night before the game and my God was arrogant and said their speed will dominate our d

While UND's 3rd quarter collapse at Kansas State didn't age great, compared to KSU expectations and ranking at that time, they have finally started to string together some wins. Most recently blowing out Kansas U 42-17. They currently sit 7th in the Big 12 with overall record of 4-4. Their losses by point differentials are (3, 3, 6, 1).

‘why would you join that conference and play a lot of your games on weeknights

that conference probably doesn’t have good attendance on weekends and the way it looks weeknights are a joke

How strong is that conference ? Mo. State is 5 and 3 this year

the bison should join that conference.

Lowest rated G5 (G6?) conference and below the MVFC.
Their top team would be 4th in the MVFC per Sagarin ratings.
MoSt slots right between SIU and ISUred. Somewhat checks out based on past history.

The conference USA/MAC teams are the teams that get plucked as the early season schedule filler tune-ups for the power 5 teams so they can say they played an entire 1-A schedule when it gets down to the new playoff scenario.  And when they are booked you get your FCS vs. FBS games, which are your FCS superbowls.  Legit FCS teams are at the top of all those conferences, hands down.  I'd even say UND would probably be fine up there.

There is literally zero chance any of their conference games end up on a legit network on a Saturday.  So they are playing on Tueday/Wednesday/Thursday nights on ESPN2/ESPNU to fill time pre college basketball season in front of 6,000 people and the highlights won't make ESPN because they'd rather talk about the WNBA and Ohtani.

Yeah, NDSU should move up to that.  How busy is the Fargodome on Tuesday or Wednesday nights?

IMO, that's why if NDSU moves up, they should do it with like minded schools.  Continue to let schools sell their local TV rights and continue to play on Saturdays.  League owns streaming.  The SunBelt has shown that it's not all about market size, and NDSU will always be an outsider in any FBS league where that's the #1 priority.

Imagine losing state-wide TV rights for mid week ESPN U games.  Great way to kill a fan base made where a large portion travels hours to games.

All 4 Dakota schools and the 2 Montana schools, along with two other schools, moving up together is the only way FBS will happen for UND or NDSU. No G5 conference will accept any of the schools I mentioned above because they don't help with getting TV contracts.

Well look at that, Sam Houston playing Louisiana Tech in front of...the band....and maybe their girlfriends on a Friday night. Can't be more than 2,000 there, teams included.

Light crowd at REA tonight due to the big holiday, but there were more people there then that FBS football game.
