Hopefully the younger guys will be even better after a full years worth of experience. Offense is looking good. Defense another 4-5 and we are moving up. Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Have there been any quarterbacks recommitting with the 1883 collective? I don’t recall seeing any Quote

Deleted my response while I looked into it. Just so we're all on the same page, since I wasn't originally, if you graduated from high school in 2020 and RS that year, then that class is the last to have a Covid year. Does anyone know if others in the same situation are considering coming back? Smith, Orlando and Pedigo would be the three along with Kunz I'm really interested in. Also, adding Hembry since he would fall under the new Extra year JUCO rule. Quote

Of course some will get more than others. Some players will have specific items at the Sioux Shop (and possibly elsewhere) where they get a direct cut from the sales as part of their NIL. Quote

F'n Hawks Posted January 2 Author Posted January 2 So we are still waiting on Edge, RB, and WR’s? Quote
forksandspoons Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I like these hires! Lots of FBS experience and youth to relate to the players! 2 Quote
Dustin Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I wonder if the Haug connection to Bemidji State puts Bolte into contention for DC. Quote
forksandspoons Posted January 2 Posted January 2 These guys have recent experience at Washington, Fresno State, SDSU, Wyoming, etc. Hope each of them is able to bring an FBS player or two with them. DT, LB, S, and TE would be great. 1 Quote
nodak651 Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Not sure where to put this, but this auction for Alex's Lemonade Stand has a signed Belquist jersey and mini helmet. Figured someone may be interested and its for a good cause. Quote

DL Sioux Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Wasn't there another coach in between the two big announcements that was thought to be coming back? What would he coach? Quote

If improved tight end play leads to more wins, I’m all for it. Ultimately, need better play at all positions. Hopefully the tight end position sees a boost along with most every other position, especially quarterback and nearly all defensive spots. Quote

SkoHawks Posted January 3 Posted January 3 There are HC's that call the plays on one side of the ball, but does this mean there won't even be a DC position? Wonder if that would spread out some salary across the assistants to increase their pay? Quote
