gfhockey Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Wonder what Palawak thinks of his recruits pushing around haucks boyz 2 Quote
Cratter Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Nice coaching adjustments at half. The decision to call some qb draws seemed to be one of the sparks. Hopefully it was just some "first home game jitters" for the und qb. Never thought I'd see a UND pound the rock for a win like today. Maybe in practice run some more option plays? Quote
siouxfb Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Great team win for the boys! I do wonder if this should count because of the difference in time of possession. As was stated last week…if Montana had the ball more they probably would have scored more. We had the ball for 15 more minutes than Montana and only won by 3. Doesn’t seem fair. Quote
fcs fan Posted September 8 Posted September 8 hats of to UND and second half coaching. I thought the griz were going to own the place but Bubba made the right adjustments at half and the rest is history. good job. 1 1 Quote
farce poobah Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Exsqueeze me, but I hallucinated that we won a field goal battle in the last 3 minutes to win the game. 1 Quote

Bubba took advantage of Hauck being an absolute moron on both sides of the ball in the 2nd half. He gave that game away and Bubba gladly took it. The fact that the Griz refused to put 8-9 in the box knowing Romfo couldn't and wouldn't throw the ball was bananas. Kudos to Bubba for recognizing that. The O-line was tremendous in the 2nd half. 3 Quote

Popular Post tnt Posted September 8 Popular Post Posted September 8 Gotta say that I moved away from a philosophy of letting a game play out before reacting, but never would have believed this was a winnable game at halftime, but just goes to show you that momentum can become a huge wave that shifts confidence and makes things like today possible. I’m not sold on being one dimensional and it translating through the whole season, but if you can dominate the line of scrimmage like we did in the second half, it could open up other things when they have to load the box to stop you. After all, that is how the Bison have dominated for years. Keep up the confidence on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. 5 Quote

Not just an improved O line, but an improved O line even after 3 players took big transfer opportunities. He absolutely left his mark on UND, and if we couldn't keep him, then shame on us. Hope we can take the momentum and run with it in a key group. 2 Quote

Hoping he can take a few steps in the passing game. Jerry may be a better passer (no idea) but I can't imagine he makes the same plays with his legs (and that isn't a slight on Jerry). If Simon can start making some plays with his arms (maybe on some rollouts) we could become multidimensional. Really liking our O line and running game. I'll take a decent game against Iowa St and a win against MT. Keep winning at home and head into Fargo playing the right way. 2 Quote

homer Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Great adjustments by the coaching staff. Just a tale of two halves with the staff getting the team settled in at half. 1 Quote

Kudos to the student section. Was packed at kickoff and a good majority (80-85%) of them stayed for the 2nd half after watching a dumpster fire first half. 1 Quote
