Great visual. I’d be interested how the ranking has changed over the last 7 games. Boisvert now sitting at 16 g x 12 a = 28 pts in 34 games.

And won’t he on the ice more than once in the last 4 minutes of a tie game

If that actually happened, it would rank as one of the greatest coaching feats in college hockey history, considering they currently can't string 2 solid games together to save their lives, let alone 8.

Yes, for sure.
If it did happen, I'm guessing it would be more to do with the players than any sort of coaching adjustments.  I think we've seen that mid-season (or mid-game) coaching adjustments aren't a strong suit of ours.

The longest winning streak this team has put together is four games, and that was against Miami and SCSU.  Not encouraging.
We'll see how the team looks tonight....

7 wins left to hang #9.

If UND can come out and dominate tomorrow like they did in the 3rd period tonight...watch out, this UND team in playoff mode is dangerous!!

Now that's funny!

"Bleed all over them.  Let them know you are there!"

Denver with 6 players on the 3 teams, despite losing underclassmen studs like Rizzo, Broz, Shai Buium, and Matikka from last years team. One has to wonder if it is recruiting, development, or systems that are holding UND back from being better represented in postseason awards, and ultimately post season success.
I tend to believe that UND doesn’t play an aggressive offensive game which explains why they have to block so many shots.  Rather than being in the offensive end shooting they are always chasing.  Time for a new philosophy!

The odds of that happening with Berry are slim and none and slim just left town.

Boisvert is elite for sure and a ton of fun to watch - but he’s also a turnover machine and doesn’t excel at a 200’ game (yet).

I’m not here to defend Berry on roster management and certainly won’t complain about seeing plenty of Sacha in scoring opportunities…but he’s a minus on the season for a reason and his unforced turnovers yesterday alone created several chances late that almost got Omaha the tie — and could’ve been the difference between post season vs not. Not an easy choice for a HC with his season on the line.

I know we all want our scorers out there all the time (or at least at key times) while players like Schmaltz don’t get a lot of love…but he continues to be steady/solid, had a great PPG setup for the first goal, and more goals are scored for us than against while he’s out there. May not be sexy, but outscoring your opponent in any way you can is still how games are won.

I’d love to build all season to trusting your young goal scorers to show up at big moments (maybe someday), but Berry isn’t likely to change to a high risk/reward style any time soon.

I think this post adds to the discussion.

Gonna get tougher from here.
Let's hope the boys can pull off some magic and we still have some UND games to discuss a week from now.

Up to #17 in the Pairwise.

;)

Not that it would likely get us in but there is a scenario apparently where UND finishes 15th in the pairwise(3% chance)

Two games. I’m starting to look at it from a seeding potential. Can they pass Mankato? Move them up to 14 seed. Without Q winning ECAC.

The most UND thing possible given coaching situation would be to break through and win the Frozen Faceoff this year. I think it happens.

Or, win the Frozen Faceoff, steal an at large bid from someone with our automatic qualifier status, and the team that is eliminated from this year’s tournament is Michigan. Revenge! 😆

How the heck did that guy lose his stick..didn't look like anybody even touched it

Same. I watched it a dozen times trying to figure out how it flies in the air so high/quickly. It doesn't look like Omac touches it.

That would require 6 periods of consistent, passionate hockey; TJ playing unconscious & channeling his inner Matt Davis; winning the specialty teams; & BB outcoaching the opposition...all from a team who had 0 shots on goal in the 3rd period Friday & went goalless over 60 minutes on the weekend against a very average UNO team.

Way too many things need to happen including UND winning two this weekend but with AQ's there could be a scenario where UND ends up the 12 seed.

He lifts it slightly. Omaha player only had 1 hand on his stick.
