James should be top 6 over Kunz.

Swanson is not big but he's got elite top end skill.

No way Berry has Schmaltz and the 5th on the 4th line. Zero chance. Do the names Hain and Senden ring a bell??

3rd line, 4th line, it doesn’t really matter if they are put out against the top players of the opposition.

Swanson top 6 no doubt.  I like the thought of him with Berg, but if Wilkie is better on draws then he's  my pick to play with Mac and a guy like Omac.

Swanson-Berg-Perron seems a bit on the undersized side of things, but I'll allow it with production.

... - Croal

Extra: Klee, Littler, ...

No portal forward; banking on Klee and Littler and Croal being satisfied with the 12-13-14 roles in a portal world. Interesting.

To be fair, I have been adamant that they bring in a FR that is a true depth add (i.e. another Montgomery). Then Klee as 12 / 13 F would be ideal.

What I don't want to see is Berry add a "depth forward" out of the portal. We all know that player will be a fixture in the line-up and will push a FR out. That is a guarantee. Berry cannot help himself.

Klee / Littler / Croal at 12 / 13 / 14 > Mediocre 5th year at 12 / Croal 13 / Klee 14

Johannes was a "depth forward" at first.

As of now I'd go

Swanson-Berg-Perron

James-Boisvert-McLaughlin

Kunz-Wilkie-Strinden

Schmaltz-Jamernik-Croal

Livanavage-Zmolek

Wiebe-Emery

Strathmann-MacDonald

Jubenvil

Hedquist

Sounds like Sacha Boisvert "could" be a first-round draft choice

Has UND ever had a player who put up middling numbers in the USHL, but then surprised everyone & became a scoring dynamo like Brodzinski at the collegiate level?

I really liked last year's roster last off-season, because I had heard good things about Pyke and Zmolek.

Once again, I think next year's team is going to be very good.  (If Blake had returned, it was going to be in powerhouse territory.)  Subtract some difference makers at forward, but add some as well, with the returners all hopefully stronger, faster and wiser.  You can construct an awfully potent top nine with that list of players.

There are three returning defenders that are already very solid, and the four new additions all sound ready to contribute.  Goaltending seems at least solid.

At least at forward, next year might be the last chance to contend for a little while.  There are a bunch of important players playing out their eligibility, and a few younger guys who may get pro offers.  It's a "win now" year.

All or just North American.

Most of those lists have both North American and European/Russian skaters.

I ask because if it's an NA only list, double it (projected 20th goes 40th).
