I'd be less frustrated about this if I knew there was a reasonable buyout negotiated in the process. I do wonder if there was a committee put in place to review and make the decision. Barring a miracle, I think we will all be voicing our frustrations by the end of next season to the tune of "We extended this guy? AGAIN?!?!?". I think our offense will do just fine, and there are some new kids I'm really looking to see get more playing time. But what has been done to really improve our defense from this past season? Apart from the NDSU game, I watched some of the most uninspired defense play I've seen out of UND (particularly against Indiana St and Murray St). I know, I initially saw the news about the extension on FB.....went and read the comments...thinking some people might be unhappy about it.....but it was only comments about people being excited, give me a break! It may provide the stability needed for coaches, potential recruits and current players as well as a negotiated buyout option. Just trying to see the potential positive..... cause if this is truly who we want coaching long term or think he can lead the program to competativeness... Maybe when they come down to Phoenix in two weeks for the Final Four they will convert me to NDSU fans. Ok that won't happen, but it is completely depressing knowing we have zero chance to have any type realistic chance or even hope...... of contending for a title for another four years!!!
