UND vs. Clown @ The X - Frozen Faceoff semis GAMEDAY

The sad part is they were a pretty good team at the end of the year.  In this game, they had a series of glorious chances late in the second that didn't go in, then SC pushed back in the third.  But you can't have such a tough start to the year, because there's no margin for error for an outcome like tonight's.

Exactly usually when a season ends without a championship/frozen four usually I'm sad/mad and thinking about what could have been but this year the feeling is more like yep this was expected. There was never the feeling of hey get a bounce here or there and this team could be in the frozen four. You look at the speed/skill difference of our squad compared to teams like Minnesota and Denver and it looks like Varsity and JV in 2/3 of the roster and quite frankly that is unacceptable for a program like North Dakota. This years team never showed the ability to put consistent performances together 3-4 games in a row. The staff didn't trust guys enough and give them enough opportunity to get the most out of the talent on this roster.

Lot of changes need to be made and it starts at the top we will see if the people in position making those decisions realize it. I'd be perfectly fine with letting Berry go and bringing in a new staff and that is actually the move I'd make but I see that as less than 5% to happen. So realistically Berry and the staff need to realize what they are doing isn't working, how they are playing isn't a recipe for success. You need to trust young players early in the season and give them opportunities to play into to bigger roles even if it seems they may not be ready for those roles let them grow into it. There is no reason James and McLaughlin weren't in the top 6 at the end of the season. There is no reason Constantini was yanked out for every mistake early in the season and James as well, while veteran guys could play awful and get PP time the next game out. There is no reason Strinden wasn't getting regular PT these last couple weeks. Need to implement more freedom offensively, preach playing with speed and creating off the rush instead of chip the puck in and play along the boards.

Who’s coasting on the top? Didn’t see that during play. Moore and James probably thought there was help on the backend. Hell idk, this whole season has been FUBAR.

I for one have already turned the page to October.

Sidorski. He puck watched and was too wide, thus forward down middle.

A fitting end to the year.

The replay guy gives the fans in the rink false hope....

Just a kick in the nuts end to the season.  Blah....kind of like the Minnesota Vikings....get us excited only to let us down.

Guys battled.  They did.

There is a third SCSU player behind Sidorski. It was a three on three and James got beat by the guy in the middle.

Moore was caught puck watching. Can’t make this stuff up.

No one did anything wrong.  They all gave 100%.  Thank you players and coaches for the fun ending.

Sidorski wasn’t at his spot. Either way, this is exactly how the entire season went. Can’t win consistently like that.

No you can't. It's just disappointing that it wasn't an odd man chance. Numbers were even coming into the zone and they gave him a free one.

What fun ending were you watching?

If Judd cashes in on two shot attempts in front of the net all alone in the first to go up 2-0......

How terrible is one's life that they would be OK with this mentality?

This is the type of pathetic ambivalence that allows things like angry Austrians to asend to party power in europe.
