brianvf Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 Schloss latest podcast went over all the other teams in the NCHC, and unlike the SCSU podcast, he actually seems to know what he's talking about when discussing other teams and their losses and incoming players. They're gonna cover UND in more detail on the next podcast, but he did take the time to mention...once again...how great Perron looks in the practices. He seems genuinely excited to see what he can do once the season actually starts. So I'll take that as a good sign. 1 Quote

And the Manitoba game isn't that far away. Yes it would be nice how short practices are going - BUT CAN NOT WAIT to see Manitoba - HOCKEY IS ON ITS WAY. 2 Quote
brianvf Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 UND set to play two series against Clarkson in a couple years: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-set-to-play-clarkson-in-pair-of-future-hockey-series?fbclid=IwAR36zUjdQNRvRMtzjO3wglZGimBDMJA6icvDPArPqduGg0jnx5bKjEM0yXM Quote UND and Clarkson have signed a contract to play a pair of future hockey series. The Fighting Hawks and Golden Knights will play in Cheel Campus Center in Potsdam, N.Y., during the 2025-26 season. It will mark UND's first trip to Potsdam since October 1999. Clarkson will make a return trip to Grand Forks during the 2026-27 season to play a two-game series in Ralph Engelstad Arena. Clarkson's last time in Grand Forks was November 1998. Outside of those series, and the Winnipeg game, the teams have only played one other series — the 1982 NCAA tournament in Grand Forks. Quote

I listened to it last night as well and the deep level of knowledge Schlossman has about the other 7 programs is simply impressive. Being I follow CC pretty closely as well, to hear him talk about their players, their incoming players, the guys who left or graduated, if you didn’t know any better, you’d think he was the beat writer for that program! Much appreciated analysis by Brad and his two co-hosts. 3 3 Quote

Having known Schlossman for a little while, the guy works non-stop, you can text him at three in the morning and there's a good chance he'll answer. I feel they don't pay him enough. The guy has built a network of sources and is very good at his craft. I think UND fans are lucky to have him as the UND hockey beat writer. I hope he continues to work for the Herald. Brad also does a great job covering other stories and sports. I like his River Cities race coverage. It's been really good. 13 Quote

burd Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 Right about now someone usually wonders if it's possible UND goes undefeated this year. I'm thinking they lose two, maybe more. Quote

SiouxForever Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Wha't the true height on our new tender? College hockey news has him @ 6'1 and hockeydb has him listed at 5'11 and undsports at 6'0. I hope he's at least 6 feet tall... 1 Quote
