CJ interception. #90 Orlando made a nice block so CJ could make his spin move. Huge 7 point what if it was 3? Wright's TD. He read the play correct and made a bee line to the endzone. Play was intended for Zavalney trailing. Setting up a first down. WTH take the TD with too much time on the clock. Three I can count. Forget which defender tackled (Cole Davis) a RS Freshman the jack on the pass in the flat. A quick close and took the receivers legs out at the line of scrimmage. This all happened in last two minutes. A year ago our team didn't make those plays. Heart attach watching but more enjoyable after the game. Our first win in NAU land. Wish I was there Sioux94. Edited to add Cole Davis. Our ream is very Young. Also nice to have a running back that doesn't fumble in key situations. 1 6 Quote

We just don’t want to live in complete misery all the time and not take brief moments along the way to enjoy a bit of positivity. I am going to savor this win for 24 hours and then move on. Survive and advance. God, knows we will be reminded all week how SIU is all-world in every category and how we don’t even belong in any discussion with them….until we beat them, and then they all of a sudden will become horse crap. We seem to have this amazing dynamic on all teams we beat. I agree - it’s not healthy to be an extremist; don’t split. So, don’t split. UND is far from the worst team in the county, but they also have a lot yet to prove. They are barely a top 25 team at this point, but there will be plenty of good teams ahead for UND to show their true colors. In fact, UND’s next two opponents look quite good (@ Southern Illinois, vs Missouri State). Quote
Midwestern Hawk Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 Morning after, 2-1 is all any of could ask for at this point! Next three are very tough but all winnable. 1 Quote
Nodak78 Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 I was looking through the Stats and CJ listed with the interception but no yards returned. I hope that is corrected. Quote

CMSioux Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 In 2016, the year we won the Big Sky, we won 6 of our games by less than one score - some here would find fault with that. Quote

AND NOT rely on damn trick plays to win games (fun when they work but stupid when they cost you a playoff game (richmond)...two on the last series...yes they worked but at this point in Bubba's tenure i would love to be able to control the line of scrimmage and push a soft big fluffy team around the field and win like we know what we are doing... nice throw by tommy two gloves on the flea flicker...he had a narrowing window to get that ball there and he hit him right in the numbers...nice Man you are such a loser. UND isn’t playing at a top 10 level right now. Comes down to standards- at UND, the standard is to just be okay, top 25. At this juncture, I would have hoped we (UND) we’re expecting much more. This forum is a microcosm of that evidenced by how many people are so content with UND’s 2-1 season thus far. Last night I was thinking, we probably should still be ranked around #20 right now...probably no higher at this point. We won two games, but they were close...and we could have lost. I am very glad we won, but I do feel a little unsettled about some things because we do have some issues that need worked on. And honestly I don't feel great about next week's game at SIU. So honestly I have a lot of the same thoughts as you, but your attitude is just complete horses**t 99% of the time and it gets so damn old. You can't go a single week without calling us all out as loving mediocrity even after we've just won two games. I'm sure you are a blast to hang out with at parties. But oh yeah....you were a coach so you are just on another level than all of us. 1 5 Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted September 18, 2022 Author Posted September 18, 2022 When you lose it doesn’t matter you did some good things cause you lost When you win it doesn’t matter you did some bad things because you won - wait - what? everyone knows there are some shortcomings and things to work on but only most admit we did good things and like the direction that all said I feel everyone here wants our teams to succeed 1 1 Quote

ND-fan Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 Sioux fan 97 I have been a fan of UND football for long time and can remember when we were at very top of football but also when we were very bottom. The Pat Burns era was very bottom for UND football where we weren't even competitive. Then came Roger Thomas era where it took nearly decade to get to times you remember. This wasn't done over night but took years to reach that level where they were dominant and the people on this sight today would have wanted to change coaches numerous times. It takes time to build a program here to build relationships in the area to recruit top talent and people that want to come here and build a program. The people that have been here as coaches and present coach have done alot in doing this by promoting the facilities we have and ones were working on to get built at UND. This has been done when our college hockey team has sucked up much attention of und fans and supporters. Then not to mention how SU south has built program to suck most attention for most of the upper Midwest. I see a program that is getting better and we have made playoffs several times and last time two years ago we won playoff game and were competitive but lacked depth in personnel to make a deep run in the playoffs. These are things that i see improvement in now with this team now and the future. 1 3 Quote

Yeah, I do actually agree with you on some things....some times. I am totally ok hearing criticism/negative comments, and even hearing them....4...5...6 times...but hearing the same basic comment the 50th time since Fall Camp just gets old. You can spare me the soft comments though coach, your comments did not hurt me at all, the repetitiveness of them just nauseate me after a while sometimes, there is a big difference between the two. 2 Quote

Popular Post siouxfan512 Posted September 19, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 19, 2022 With an absolutely crazy weekend of youth sports, I haven't had a chance to give my thoughts, other than a few frustrations early in the game yesterday. I said it last week and I will say it again; this is a game we lose last year. Last year we had one score losses, this season we have 2 one score wins. That is progress folks! This was ugly for the majority of the game. Just UGLY! BUT...... we won! Thats what matters. Not only did we win, but we won on the road. Take this into next week! Big showdown at SIU. You could say they will have confidence. You could say this could be a trap game for them given the big time win. I could care less what it is; I just want to see us play our game and get a W. The next two weeks are huge for our season and UND needs to make progress each week (ahem ... secondary). Siegel made a nice play, but I thought I saw him miss on a few plays too. D line needs to get more pressure this week. Would love to see Danny get to open up the playbook a little earlier. Trick plays can't happen all game, but let's not wait until the very end of the game to light some fireworks. Congrats to @Wright4UND and family on Jack's TD ... it was a big one! Way to go there! Bo is such a stud, and what and all out effort to get in the end zone. This is not a slight to the Bison and I don't need stupid responses but given who his dad is and that they could have likely had him in Fargo, they have to be wishing they had offered the kid. Congrats to Bo and just being a dude! Keep it up! Keep it goin boys! Also prop to Danny for some of those calls and to Bubba for giving him the flexibility! 1 5 Quote
