Wow what's with the MVFC deal with ESPN?  I just realized that every ESPN MVFC "game of the week" is exclusively on ESPN's streaming platform, as in home teams cant broadcast their home game on TV if it's the game of the week.  UND vs UNI is the game of the week and will not be on TV anywhere.  Is that correct?  Would love to see a copy of that contract...

I was wondering why Midco wasn't listed as a broadcaster for that game.  https://fightinghawks.com/sports/football/schedule

Cool to see Midco already listed for the away games, however.  Curious if they will be picking up the broadcasts or if they will actually be producing some of them, as they did when UND played at NDSU.

Now imagine if UND was smart enough to call out retaining, at no cost under the contract, a number of advertising slots (:30 second commercials) per broadcast event.

Spoiler Alert: Read the television RFP; it's in there.

Do you happen to know if there will be any Midco coverage in Kansas City?

Viverito has said in the past schools like NDSU with lucrative media contracts are exempt from having to allow a MVFC game of the week at home. NDSU's media contract will not allow a game in the Fargodome to be the MVFC game of the week.

NDSU played in a game of the week last year, and WDAY lost a game because of it.  Zero difference.

Only like 100k.

Oh, NDSU's 2m contract also gives Learfield NDSU's sponsorship revenue, licensing revenue, and Fargodome suit revenue.

This was an interesting listen.  It has a discussion about media rights and how they plan to implement some of the changes.  Plus time talking about phase II (weight room, locker room and sports medicine).

Other Projects:

- Ralph weight room update

- Betty new basketball/volleyball - video/meeting room.

Memorial Village - as of right now it is planned to be completed by Summer of 2024.

Bill Chaves Podcast - Ep. 114 - University of North Dakota Athletics (fightinghawks.com)

If anybody is looking for info on the TV broadcasts, just head on over to the University's website.  It was last updated prior to the 2018-19 season...........:(

Some folks just don't understand the concept of writing documents that always stay current (so you don't have to continually update).
