crb1 Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Injuries may finally be catching up to us. PP was absolutely abysmal tonight. Had we capitalized on one of those perhaps it’s a different story. Boys can’t be happy with tonight, hope it lights a fire or we will see a quick exit. Quote

Oldguy Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 That performance (with full knowledge that our top defensive pairing were out) did not look like a championship type team. Especially in the first two periods - they just looked flat, and I don't know how you justify that when all the press has been about how special many of the guys think this season is. With Kleven back in next week, and hopefully with a forward group that doesn't look like they are afraid of contact, maybe UND can go on a run. But, after tonight, I don't have a lot of optimism. 1 Quote

Whether that be 5x5, PK, or PP. I don't think it was going to change anything if we did or didn't pull the goalie at the end. Have to take the chance and pull him when you're down one, so no issue with that. You could just feel that it wasn't gonna work though. Quote
SiouxScore Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Just kind of a choppy game tonight. Not a lot of flow or anything real smooth. Had some real good chances that you have to convert on at this time of the year. Another day to get healthy and see who we get next week on Sunday. Quote

Yep, I just got us down to #9 as well on the predictor. If UMD wins tomorrow, UMD, QU, and Notre Dame would all jump us. Quote

GoalieMask Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Looks like UND will be 6, 7, or 8 - so a #2 seed all but guaranteed Quote
ND_Texan Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Well UND and DU won’t be in the same nationals bracket. Told you so. Quote
Old Barn Guy at Home Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Sicatoka, Thanks for the info to get the Hennesy feed. It was really great to hear Tim's voice again. It's been a few years for us. Hope the team can get some rest and be ready for the next game, wherever it may be. Quote
GoalieMask Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Statistically speaking right now, “most likely” is UND and Western playing in same regional - of course, a lot of “ifs” tomorrow. Quote

brianvf Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 If all higher seeds lose, we finish #7. UMD/WMU is the game that affects us the most, for sure. In most scenarios, if WMU wins, looks like we finish 7 or 8. In most scenarios, if UMD wins, we finish 8 or 9. Quote
Username Taken Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 The best possible result. Nobody got hurt and don’t have to play an extra game, which would only lead to somebody getting hurt. I’m somewhat being sarcastic. Quote

The Sicatoka Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 UND could be playing Thursday afternoon on the east coast. That team looked like it needs a night off. I’m fine with this outcome. Get rest and get ready with a full roster. 1 3 Quote

Would be shocked if Sanderson makes an appearance at the regional from what everyone is saying. But we can pray for a miracle. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 I hear you guys but this says it’s PWR 6, 7, or 8 at worst. https://www.collegehockeynews.com/ratings/probabilityMatrix.php Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 I don’t like this conference tournament Quote
Wilbur Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Sanderson, Kleven, Hain, Albrecht all sitting a section over from me. Not our best night, but let's see what they can do with close to a full lineup Quote
bcblues Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Oh, @Cratter it is tough being a top program (as opposed to always having a top team). Everybody paints a target on your back. Think of it as terms of endearment. 1 Quote
