Poop game against a good team. People seem to be ignoring the fact that Quinnipiac is actually pretty damn good.

Could be the best Eastern team this year. I'd put them behind at least 7 teams in the West still though.

Not a ton of skill, zero sense of urgency, lines look messed, and need our big guns to wake up. This team is a middle of the pack team. Need to figure some things out.

Seeing the results of the rest of the NCHC early on and having watched this team, they will be on the road for the first round.

Should have went full rebuild. Transfers are ok if they have at least 2 years of eligibility. The one year guys only work if you have a competitive team.

Driscoll has not been lights out…but he isn’t the issue.

Fair, still would like to see what the Freshman has to offer. Driscoll has not proven he can “steal” a game, so tomorrow is a loss with him in net. Maybe Hellsten has that.

Yes. UND will improve, but the NCHC looks even tougher than usual. Don’t see them as a home ice team.

Too early in the season to drag this out of the closet.

Hellsten starts tomorrow and leads them to victory and you might see me singing a different tune.

I just want to see them complete a series of tape-to-tape passes.

Yeah I’m going to enjoy the city with good friends. Just a little pissed with the way they looked tonight

QU is a damn good team though. Big, strong and fast. They made entering their zone pretty difficult on us and they blocked a ton of shots. Felt that on some of them, instead of making the cross ice pass, we tried forcing shots through where there were no lanes.

Was anybody able to hear Coach Berry’s post game interview with Tim? Would love to hear what his thoughts were. I can’t imagine he was very happy with that performance.

Quinnipiac isn't exactly bishop Sycamore.  They've got some good hockey players, and they're well coached.  Anybody that expected this team to skate through a top ten team with ease on the road may need to reconsider expectations for this group.

Get home ice in the NCHC, make the tournament, see what happens.

Yup, below what the bar is for this program, but sometimes you gotta play with the hand you've been given.

Let’s see:

Our defense has been poor to brutal, goaltending has been average, face offs have been poor, penalty killing has been questionable, passing is awful, our hobey baker candidate defenseman can’t defend, and our offensive skill is lacking.  Not too sure what we have to build on, lots and lots of areas that need significant improvement.
With a tough schedule coming up we need to correct this quickly or we may be out of the race for an at large tourney  bid before January.  Tomorrow’s game will be a very important indicator for this team.  I expect a much much better effort and getting out of there with the split.

Got the feeling we see a very different lineup tomorrow night. Yes Quinnipiac is a very good hockey club and full of veterans but at least compete. One can take a loss but go down fighting at least

I had to work tonight and only caught the last few minutes of the game. Looked like QU is good at breaking up our play and back checked pretty well. Hopefully we learned something tonight and will apply it tomorrow night. We've done it before.
