hky Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 If you have access, read the article in The Athletic about Wisconsin's drafted guys. Pretty telling. Quote

Hard to play hockey with a pen and NHL contract occupying space in your jock strap! Quote

Is that the norm? I dont think ive heard that out of UND. Quote
Dustin Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 As much as they are our rivals, sad to see Minnesota and Wisconsin in disarray with hockey. They are two proud programs. College hockey as whole needs good Minnesota and Wisconsin teams. Quote

Here's a decent one not behind a paywall. https://madison.com/wsj/sports/college/hockey/arrival-of-high-end-talent-didn-t-lead-to-success/article_030a4aab-f94b-5a58-813d-c58127cb4481.html My takeaway: they didn't play good enough defense, and their goaltending wasn't good enough either. Two new goalies coming in, and I suppose a revolving door of high end offensive talent to replace what's going to leave. Quote

brianvf Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 K'Andre Miller from UW is now gone as well. He was a soph. Quote

Wilbur Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 I will never understand how Wisconsin finished last with that talent. Give me a break..... I'd bet Caufield leaves too. Quote

Ranger Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 I saw Wisconsin dismantle Duluth early in the season. I’m surprised by their season. Quote

UNDBIZ Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Sounds like any contacts signed now won't go into effect until July 1 unless the nhl season restarts. So no burning a year off that entry level contract by signing now. Takes away some incentive. Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Tyler Nanne done at Minnesota - for all the griping from Gopher fans about 24 year old Canadian kids on North Dakota’s roster... 2 Quote

brianvf Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 Sounds like Perunovich from Duluth close to signing. And Caufield from UW leaning towards staying another year. Quote
Frozen4sioux Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 The Perunovich signing was walked back by player and reporter. Quote
