In the current situation, I am looking at the courts to decide which networks or parties have been telling more of the truth.

I don’t believe that misinformation is new to either party or cable news station.

I remember growing up where there were only three tv stations. Never questioned any of the information. Things have definitely changed. I always have my radar up now as I watch or hear.

I believe trump has taken things to an unacceptable level and has to be replaced. Have said many times here that I believe he is a threat to our democracy. He continues to lie. He has convinced a big part of the country in conspiracy after conspiracy. He has consolidated powers in himself so even respectful Republicans are afraid to speak up. IMHO Trump is not a statesman. And has done a disservice to the country. Though I agree with many of his policies. Personal loyalty is demanded by Trump over the country. We can’t have that.

Ronnie's revocation of the Fairness Doctrine back in 1987 started that ball rolling.  The ball picked up speed once CNN had competition, and then it got a big kick and set on fire once the whole internet/social media/advertising revenue cesspool created a new accessible financial model for echo chambers.

You & T are losing it.

I see satire is not your strong suit...not that I'm surprised. Sometimes its difficult to remember how dumb some folks (folx in modern lib spelling) are.

I won't dispute the "cant trust the news"...I'm with you 100% there. Journalism as a profession has become activism (whether left or right).

Trump isn't a statesman. I'm with you there too. But the whole "i demand loyalty" is literally every politician who has been alive your entire life. No President who had ever ever lived is going to appoint a dude who they don't think is loyal. That was a brand new invention created by the media. The media and Dems had ZERO words to say when Eric Holder, our attorney general, referred to himself as Barack Obama's wingman.  Yet Bill Barr got accused of every fucking crime under the Sun. Thats not a criticism of Eric Holder by the way, the AG is appointed by POTUS, therefore it should be assumed they have a good relationship. This entire "oh trump's appointees have his back, thats not normal" idea is retarded. Thats entirely normal.

For how much people claim "I dont want a regular politician" they sure have a tendency to vote for regular politicians. Joe Biden is not particularly different than Trump when it comes to lies. His career is full of them...they sunk his presidential aspirations before I was even born.

The idea that he is an honest politician is crafted by the DNC in tandem with the media. I dont think they cheated to get him elected, but he is as much of a liar as Donald Trump is, he is senile(Trump might be too), and he's a bad guy.

For being such a devoted Catholic...he can't pronounce the word Psalms. Dude is effectively excommunicated per the Catechism so...I mean..I hope becoming President a year before you die is worth it because if HIS OWN FAITH is correct...well...

His presidency will be entirely ineffective in all likelihood and I like that a lot. But the idea of him returning anything good to the White House is objectively false.

Doubt they will take it up, after it being beat so bad.
If it did, there's the lack of evidence.
It's not like the SC to get this political.
This wouldn't be riot territory, it would trigger a revolution.

Ohhhhh Sweet mercy from above, I love to hear the tassled loafer crowd speak of this revolutionary riots they threaten.

It would be music to my ears to see the a "Real reset" of the country. The affable foolishness of the leftists soy brigades would be crushed nearly Instantaneous, if ever it was viewed as a real threat.

The true leftist knows the revolution has been happening for years, in the schools, the media, and in the culture. Thats is where the left is winning, by collectively making the population dumber, more distracted, and more dependent.

In fact the only way they can screw up their revolution at this point is to get violent and confrontational...... but we pray every day thats the route they one day choose to take.

riots and revolutions.... good lord, and you'll jump in on this how exactly? Boycotting oranges? Attacking with super senior discount by 4pm meal coupons to dennys? .... I mean really of all the impotent rabble going in here that really does take the sugarfree cake.

Republicans are preparing to re-embrace their inner deficit hawk after greenlighting big spending bills under President Trump.

GOP senators say they expect to refocus on curbing the nation's debt and reforming entitlement programs starting in 2021, as the Congressional Budget Office estimates that the debt has surpassed the size of the American economy.

Reading that the Vandy football team is going to have a female kick for them.  Good for her, hope she does well, great opportunity for her.

Now if the women's soccer team has Covid issues a member of the football team could help them out right?  I'm told no men's soccer team at Vandy.

What an odd criticism. In the midst of a global pandemic and forced closure of businesses, massive unemployment that everybody knew would be short term, Congress came together with a spending bill so people didn’t starve to death. It was clearly a unique time and it required a unique approach. Criticize the GOP for any other increases in government spending, but not the CARES act.

Fargo Force scored 3 goals in 90 seconds in the 3rd period last night to beat Sioux Falls 4-3. 1860 in attendance. Was fun to watch live hockey again.

Meanwhile 100+ died "from or with" Covid in MN a couple days ago. Mask mandate for 4 months in that state. There were calls to "uninvite" family for Thanksgiving. Calls already to cancel Christmas.

Life is short......get out and live it.

Chad Demers has cancer and you went to a hockey game?  You are now responsible for anything bad that happens to anyone.

After spending time with family from multiple states over Thanksgiving and hearing about their kids first semester of school, they are certainly succeeding at that.  Frightening how little learning is happening at all ages.   We are doing our kids no favors at this point.

Will football be declared a mixed team sport from now on?

Girls would figure out pretty quick where they fit in athletically if they are actually gonna compete for men’s positions on a college football team. Line them up, may the best person win.

Specialists. Punter, kicker, and under today’s rules maybe long snapper.

I can't look at CNN or Fox for political news. CNN was the boy who cried about trump. Fox was the boy who cried about CNN. Feels like they are in on it together for content. So I feel better off cutting cable and not watching either network.

For international news sources: The Independent, BBC , Reuters (all pretty much UK/Canada based). Still a hint a bias, but they are more objective about US news since they are harder to influence. I have a friend in Finland who talks American politics with me too.

I read the Economist magazine.  I find that they try to show both sides of the argument.  But, I stay away from main stream TV media in general.

They’d have a better chance for sure under today’s rules, but no real chance in a head to head for any of those positions either.

Meanwhile in PA:

"Petitioners appear to have a viable claim that the mail-in ballot procedures set forth in Act 77 contravene Pa. Const. Article VII Section 14 as the plain language of that constitutional provision is at odds with the mail-in provisions of Act 77."

That’s a judge ruling the process (Act 77) followed in PA may be unconstitutional under PA law.
