It's looking like he was correct. Not believing/trusting the numbers in this case means having a bias that the physical death count being reported by medical professionals is too high and that the death being experience by COVID should instead be reallocated to different categories as the primary source of death.

Please stay on point if you would.
yzerman19 Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 How about this novel (pun intended) concept in a supposedly free country: Here are the facts, we suggest that you self quarantine if you are an at-risk group, and we suggest limiting your social engagements and possible exposure. Now go make your choices and live or die by them. 4

Even after new York decided to lump all unattended deaths into the covid category, the total deaths are still trending well below the early doomsday estimates.
Popular Post Walsh Hall Posted April 16, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 16, 2020 So, the point of social distancing is to "flatten the curve", correct? The whole point of "flattening the curve" is to prevent overwhelming the healthcare system, correct? But I am hearing stories that in most places, and certainly in ND, the healthcare system is by no means overwhelmed. In other words, people are not being hospitalized in the vast numbers predicted. So why flatten the curve if it is just prolonging the pain, so to say? Why not ease the restrictions a bit?I have always understood a certain (debatable) percentage of the people WILL contract Covid-19. Why prolong the pain if the healthcare system is capable of treating more cases than are being presented? Open up the economy for those whose risk factor is pretty low and get on with it. Our economy cannot tolerate too much more of this before we have a total collapse. That is not beneficial to anybody. 6

rochsioux Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Some auto insurance companies are refunding some money to customers due to less driving going on during this shutdown. It appears that many/most hospitals are losing large sums of money due to the loss of non COVID19 patients. Should we expect medical insurance companies to refund some of the premiums being paid ? About the same likelihood of the Sioux name coming back.
LH Golfer Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 https://www.chicagobusiness.com/greg-hinz-politics/midwest-governors-form-covid-coalition So would ND, SD, WY, MT and NE form a Big Sky/Missouri Valley coalition?
Oxbow6 Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 The Theodore Roosevelt National Park in western ND just closed immediately due to COVID. Will reopen May 9. #savelives #factsnotfear

Much of “insured” are actually self-funded, so the insurance company isn’t risk-bearing, the employer is. 3. If at the end of the year on the fully-insured land at a loss ratio less than 85, the insurers will need to true that up per the ACA. end of the day, you won’t see a check, but you might see some premium relief next year. 1

You run a bigger risk of having your vehicle dented by an angry buffalo! 1

Old Fella Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 28 new cases in ND yesterday. 1 age 60 and over' 27 under age 60.
Cratter Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 The highest death daily totals were about 2k. Then a sudden one day spike of 6k. Without consistency in the reporting it's hard to tell which way it's really trending.
