The result is all that matters, solid goaltending, penalty kill and timely scoring. They got their split, now let's see if they can steal a sweep tomorrow!

Good win. 1st period might have been the best period this team has played all year and held on in the 2nd and 3rd. Scheel was rock solid and came up with the huge penalty shot stop. Jones looked to have good jump really thought he would end up putting one in the net with the way he was playing although he did miss a wide open one I guess. The Hain-Senden-Smith line was very good and really set the tone for the game. Defensively real solid job keeping Denver out of scoring areas for the most part. Guys play all 3 periods tomorrow like they did the 1st tonight and it will be a sweep.

Here's an example of us fans feeling good about the game because we won.  Denver more or less dominated the game for at least 40 minutes.  Had they won, we would have been complaining again how unprepared to play we were and how our recruiting sucks.

Scheel was huge, and despite Shaw's mistake, our defense was very solid.

Scheel is a stud goalie. Wow! He's a fearless one in net. World Junior team left him off the roster? Okay....

Better play all round for UND. Defense was super solid in their own end. Shaw had that one brain fart on the goal. Oh, well.

Senden, you should have one more goal tonight. lol. Can't believe he didn't shoot early to lock up that empty net. Hopefully, he moves on from that quick and forgets about it. It was a quick skate, battle. Hit the post on the shot. Oops.

Jordan Kaw. Talent is there. Still needs to work on finishing in college. He should be scoring more. It'll come.

Nice win without JJ, CA, DB and JT (out). Not sure if JT would have cracked the line up for game 1 of the series anyways.

Fun to see the SIOUX win and beat Denver!

You're right it's tough to complain after a win, but we all know that doesn't change the overall talent level of the forwards. Talent wise this is the least talented forward group UND has had in 20+ years. That being said, they are solid in net, have a good d-core and tonight found timely scoring. When healthy at forward, they can hopefully find some consistency.

I don't think anyone thinks they outplayed Denver. The second game in a row, where I think they got the "breaks".
