So, discussing Senator Heitkamp's tweet is teetering on the edge of a cliff in regards to discussing politics, but a poster bringing up "nudie pics" of the L twins is promptly backed-up with a comment from a moderator.  C'mon, guys...this stuff gives fuel to the fire and is not called for at all.

X1000..... ridiculous!

I agree with you on this. Neither topic is acceptable or appropriate here.

Wonder if the GF Herald will run the nudie pics on page 3 or page 14?

Does the  centerfold still have staples?  Asking for a friend...

So calling out a 23 year old "kid"/offensive defensemen to actually play some defense or suggesting a goalie might want stop a shot from the redline on occasion is offensive/insensitive to some here yet this "sexist" stuff above is golden?

Just a thought, to all the folks who are upset over dropping womens hockey.   If everyone who complained bought a season ticket for womens hockey (putting their money where their mouth is), would that be enough revenue to bring back womens hockey?

Lets go the professional expansion route. If you want womens hockey to return, buy a permanent seat license for the team.

I bet they will be lining up ;)

No...because it's the same 10 people complaining over and over.

The cost for season tickets was $60. Champions Club members got in free, as they do for a handful of sports, so you would likely have to remove that "perk" to start to move the needle. Just to get to $500,000 in revenue, you would need to sell 8,300 season tickets. More telling is WIH total attendance for it's entire final season was just over 15,000.

So in short, not even close.

Here's a good one for you guys:

"Bob Hawks" twitter handle was created recently to refute all the women's hockey budget rumors and such.  Seems to be pretty knowledgeable, quite obvious that it's a former coach or staffer.

Take a peek at who the ONLY follower is (besides porn bots).  LMFAO.  Gee, who is Bob Hawks?

I wonder how Jimmy Kimmel has gone unscathed with the "Me Too" movement and all the ramifications from it and his previous show "The Man Show" and it's blatant objectification of women.   I think I can figure it out though.

Now if only UND had a smaller arena to put the women’s hockey team in, like how Minnesota and Wisconsin have smaller arenas for women’s hockey teams. Oh that’s right they could have had them play in the Olympic Arena, you know for all those Olympians to train in.

Its like the people who ran the women’s hockey program were trying to make it fail by not having a budget to follow, and when it got out of hand they just ignored it by playing the “hockey school” card.

I found out he’s seen the actual budget and the women’s hockey program didn’t lose $2 million.

And do you remember, cberkas, how Ridder Arena got built?

I do, the same with Wisconsin. The point I was making is there’s an attached Olympic ice sheet at the REA. With them knowing they wouldn’t get enough people to show up for games, they should have played all their games on the Olympic ice sheet. That should have saved them quite a bit of money.

Your good old metro DFL made sure that it was built well ahead of Amzoil Arena in Duluth. UMD had to wait for years to get a new arena because the U of M women's team couldn't share with the boys at Mariucci.

Sorry to anyone offended by my reference to "nudie" pics.  For clarification I was referring to the Olympic team pics that some players chose to be in.  I find it hard to believe that most of you fail to see the connection between persons holding up the WH program as a cornerstone to helping young ladies develop not only their skills but into high quality representatives of the sport and the cheeky nude poses that drag women rights back 50 years.

People, including myself, seemed to forget about them posing nude for the publicity.  Hopefully, Oxbow and Mafia will recover with a little counseling.   :D

You know what...I had completely forgotten about the ESPN "body issue."  Thanks for jarring my memory.  Posing for nude pics is obviously sexist and misogynistic...except for when it's liberating and exilerating.

I had 100% forgotten about that.  See my above post.
