Popular Post airmail Posted October 20, 2016 Popular Post Posted October 20, 2016 I've been a booster for going on almost 20 years now, and while I'm fortunate to be able to have season tickets to UND events, the cost is already a pinch. I agree with the previous suggestion that some people will probably retain tickets to some sports, but forego others to make up for cost increases. I firmly believe attendance will be affected. A 25% increase to my current ticket bill? That's not just nickels and dimes; I'm not sure this family's budget can or will take that on. (that's right - when you run out of budget dollars, you cut expenditures. Oddly, I learned that in a class I took at UND.) 7 Quote

I wonder if he'll run their ideas by the IAC before making a decision. Each tree will be brought before the committee with an opportunity to plead its case before being cut. 2 Quote

UNDBIZ Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 $60.75 * 12 credits = $730 per semester or $1,460 per year (assuming no summer school). 5 years to graduate and you're at $7,300. Not that great a bargain. 2 Quote

SIOUXFAN97 Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 so will the 1.5M deficit be taken care of in the next week or so or since we aint dropping any sports this gets kicked to the back burner for a while and nov 1st mean nothing? Quote

I had a 17 credit semester where i payed tuition and fees on all 17 due to 6 credits being online and not counting against the cap Quote

The deficit was mostly addressed with cutting baseball, privately funding men's golf, and increasing revenue (tickets, fundraising, etc.). It's not really a hard number that has to be addressed by a certain date. UND will just continue cutting/limiting non-hockey programs and shifting around the money. Quote
