UND-FB-FAN
we have the talent, change the scheme. The same scheme that shut down Northern Colorado and Cal Poly? The same scheme that shut down Portland State?Yes, the schemes should continue to evolve, but the players win it. The secondary improved as the season went on, and having Reyes back healthy is critical.
bang
Whoa whoa whoa. Not a Faison fan but this is not on him. Idaho State loss and just some bad luck. 6 MVFC teams and if I'm right 3 Big Sky teams? I don't know a lot of different things happened this morning that left UND out but Faison wasn't one of them. Popular Post geaux_sioux
I hope Faison is taking notes. This is why for non conference you schedule two cream puffs and one FBS each year. Accepting the ridiculously unfair deal with ndsu has now hurt in more ways than previously thought. And yes, I realize we should've taken care of ISU and Weber. But reality is we didn't and we still held out hope for the playoffs. That NDSU game was very important for the growth of this team. I couldn't disagree more with you. That loss did not keep us out. That three game stretch of Bartels kept us out.

Go nickle or dime package and mix man with zone.
Sioux>Bison
im still in shock. The seniors deserve a playoff birth after all the tough years they have endured. This makes me more sick than any frozen four loss. Dam

Next year I predict our secondary will be a strength. Book it.

That three game stretch of Bartels kept us out.my opinion is 7 wins, and we were kept out. 8 wins and we wouldn't be having this conversation on why we were left out. I'm not close to the team so can't comment on the intangibles regarding ndsu. But the collapses in Weber and ISU still happened despite whatever growth happened at ndsu. Bartels didn't play D in those games.....would've been nice if Arnell could have.

andtheHomeoftheSIOUX!!
Golly that really sucks. Feel for the seniors. Tough way to go out. UND should be in the playoffs. Gotta control what we can control next year. Ugh.

So a loss to the best team in the country at the time is worse than two losses, one to a team that only beat 1 D1 team this year and the other to a very average team? No, just stop. Old School Guy
UND will not be a secret next year...they have spent the past three weeks handing out beat downs. They will have a chance to show they are here to stay in the first 3 games in 2016. Those games will be huge!
mksioux
I think it's pretty clear that UND will need 8 wins next year to make it. The schedule is easier next year than this year. If 7 wins was not enough this year, it probably won't be enough next year either.
Bison06
does any of thos teams have a bebetter win than our vs PSU? I don't buy WIU over SDSUI'm not making the argument that you guys don't deserve to be in, because I thought UND deserved a berth. But to say your win over PSU is better than WIU over SDSU is false in my book.

The Sicatoka
Which is better: win over PSU or SDSU? Answer: Which one is a top 8 seed?
BisonMav
does any of thos teams have a bebetter win than our vs PSU? I don't buy WIU over SDSUUND had 2 quality wins, WIU had 3 and took 3rd place in the MVFC with wins over UNI and SDSU, also beat EIU(at team should not be in the playoffs instead of UND). The Sicatoka
So the "7 DI wins" standard is now proven to be fallacy. Is this a first move by the FCS to move to a 32 team field? To do that you'd have to take some 6-5 schools. Precedent set.
old school
The boys were looking like 'the team ya dont want to play' the last 3 games. It was to little to late. Would have loved to see them get in to see the hell they would have raised.
Csonked Out
The biggest thing that I took out of this year is the growth of our QB and RB. Keaton grew up before our eyes the last 3 weeks, he was very accurate hitting the open man, was able to connect on the deep ball, and was able to limit the mistakes. I have been very hard on him the last year but the kid grew up in a big way. As for the running back situation, we have Brady and Santiago for 3 more years, enough said. We do have a few losses, but we have the depth now to where I feel comfortable replacing guys, next year can't come fast enough!
