UNDColorado Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Villanova lost and finishes 6-5. They were a team we needed to lose. Quote
Cratter Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 SEC teams losses to FCS.ESPN with that headline right? Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Could Lennon be done at SIU? The seat has to be getting warm for him. They built all new facilities when they hired Lennon (stadium included) and they haven't done all that much with them. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted November 24, 2015 Author Posted November 24, 2015 Let's say Lennon gets canned.... USD? Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Let's say Lennon gets canned.... USD? They could do worse. A lot worse. It would also put Lennon back into the Midwest, where he has had most of his success. Quote
Cratter Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Sounds like Dale (I'm reading between the lines) is done at SIU. Quote
bincitysioux Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Apparently not only is being one game over .500 worthy of a playoff bid, it is also good enough to get coach of the year honors in the MVFC. I am really not understanding all the love for Western Illinois. 1 Quote

bincitysioux Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 (edited) Hey if you can get a 6-5 team in the playoffs He should be coach of year. Not that his team deserves it. Thats a good point...WIU has had two playoff appearances in the last 15 years, so I guess they have that "name recognition" that probably swayed the committee as well like Montana and Northern Iowa have. Being 83-90 since the turn of the century has really built up their brand and reputation. Edited November 25, 2015 by bincitysioux 3 Quote

Well I guess any time you can take a team from 5-7 to 6-5 and have a point differential of -59 points on the year (including -36 in conference play), you need to take a moment and recognize greatness. 5 Quote

I am really not understanding all the love for Western Illinois.Nielson is a pretty good coach. Kind of Ironic that his team is one of the 4 teams that gets in at our expense seeing as how Bubba handed him 2 national titles at UMD.....guess he really owes Bubba a couple favors now. Quote

UND92,96 Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Kind of scary that Dale is out of work and South Dakota and Montana State have open slots. He was offered the Montana St. job once before. In retrospect, that probably would have been a better fit for him geographically. Quote
UNDBIZ Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Dale will be at Montana St soon enough.I disagree, but it's certainly possible. You thinking he'll be the DC? Quote
