BringDeanBack Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Bring in a guy that has proven he can win the big game (paging Cary Eades). 3 3
stoneySIOUX Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 The Flyers Cup drought continues for the foreseeable future. Philly is one of the harshest media sports markets around. Good luck. You got what you wanted. He's gone. Quit trolling. 3
iluvdebbies Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Sandelin is my first choice and its not even close. 1
crb1 Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 You have to think Hak is taking Jackson and Berry with him.?.
A.B.T.G. Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Worked well for Blais at pro level. Hope it pans out for Hak. Going to miss him behind the bench.
UNDBIZ Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 You have to think Hak is taking Jackson and Berry with him.?. That would hurt.
MafiaMan Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 The Flyers Cup drought continues for the foreseeable future. Philly is one of the harshest media sports markets around. Good luck. And now that he's gone, folks will STILL find something to b*tch about...Would Hak taking the job in Edmonton or Buffalo made you happier? 1
fargosioux Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Will be very surprised if Berry isn't named head coach very soon.
SiouxScore Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 @Buccigross: North Dakota players had no idea their coach was leaving. Found out on Twitter. Shocked. But, they'll get another good coach. #lotsofthem Don't like this at all but that seems to be the way that everybody found out.
MafiaMan Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 You have to think Hak is taking Jackson and Berry with him.?. No way. He'll need someone with some NHL experience with him on the bench. 2
siouxfan512 Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Any chance we can steal away Sandy? That would be awesome! and DHG would absolutely blow up on twitter.

Maddogg1971 Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Will be very surprised if Berry isn't named head coach very soon. He's too soft.
tnt Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 So who has already signed their letters of intent, and who hasn't. I know Minnesota is in need of a defenseman for next year, and wouldn't hesitate at contacting Shaw if he hasn't already signed.
SiouxScore Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 You have to think Hak is taking Jackson and Berry with him.?. If either have a chance to be the head coach at UND instead which I would think they do I'm sure they would jump at that opportunity.
Oxbow6 Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Will be very surprised if Berry isn't named head coach very soon. Really.......why is that? Just curious. 1
UND1983 Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. Are you joking? You always tell the team first, at least through text, phone the captains, or something. Always. Every coach who has bolted and not told the team first has gotten ripped. At all levels.
Sodbuster Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Will be very surprised if Berry isn't named head coach very soon. I'm thinking so, too.
UNDBIZ Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 So who has already signed their letters of intent, and who hasn't. I know Minnesota is in need of a defenseman for next year, and wouldn't hesitate at contacting Shaw if he hasn't already signed. I'm more concerned about the CHL, where LOIs don't matter.
tnt Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 He's too soft. He's in charge of the defense, and we have had the best defensive crew in the country the last few years.
southpaw Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 You have to think Hak is taking Jackson and Berry with him.?. He needs assistants who have coached in the NHL Recently. I imagine he will have a pretty good selection of guys to choose from. I would like to see Hastings, Sandy, Gwoz or Berry named as his replacement. I just don't see Jackson as a head coach.
CMSioux Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Great reflection on the strength of UND's hockey program - all the hand-wringing about recruits jumping and players leaving - gotta say that is somewhat insulting to the players and to the program. 1
fargosioux Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Really.......why is that? Just curious. Just a hunch. No inside information. I just think the move will be to maintain consistency, especially with regards to the new recruits, and I believe Berry came back for this opportunity.
MafiaMan Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Are you joking? You always tell the team first, at least through text, phone the captains, or something. Always. Every coach who has bolted and not told the team first has gotten ripped. At all levels.Hak has a team meeting and lets everyone know that he's looking at an NHL job, someone leaks that all over Twitter about 30 seconds later. Then he doesn't get an NHL offer and everyone's furious anyways because he even interviewed, which means he's only half-interested in staying in GF. 1
