Goon Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Maybe we should just call him Jim? Okay, that works for me... Quote
Goon Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I can't wait to hear Hammer butcher it. I wish we had Woog and the Rug calling a game... SCSU has a Finnish goalie with a tough name as well. Quote
scpa0305 Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Matt...just remember the second t. Side note, 90 days until hockey! I also can't wait for the season to start. I'm calling for this team to have a few upsets early. Quote
GFSiouxFan16 Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 My guess would be #27 is Luke Johnson. Yes, Johnson is wearing 27 Quote

scpa0305 Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 To who? Why not its the offseason anyway. I meant they will upset some team who everyone outside of Sioux nation thinks should beat them. Quote
siouxweet Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I meant they will upset some team who everyone outside of Sioux nation thinks should beat them. miami? BU? SCSU? Omaha? I'm willing to bet UND gets 3-4 wins out of these four first half series. the bigger question is whch team will they lose to that no one thinks they should? Quote

siouxweet Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 3-4 wins in 8 games?? I'd certainly hope so. I've got us going 22-12 for the year in the regular season, where that wouldl leave us is anyone's guess. Quote
geaux_sioux Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I meant they will upset some team who everyone outside of Sioux nation thinks should beat them. Assuming the underdog role? Could actually work well for the team. When was the last time a UND team was actually an underdog in their own conference? Quote

Split in Miami, split in Boston, split with St. Clown, sweep Omaha.... 5 wins... Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I wish we had Woog and the Rug calling a game... SCSU has a Finnish goalie with a tough name as well. I WAS JUST THINKING THAT! Poor Woog, the man finally just gave up trying to pronounce Rastislav Spriko. Heck, he couldn't even get Spriko. Quote
keikla Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Assuming the underdog role? Could actually work well for the team. When was the last time a UND team was actually an underdog in their own conference? I would consider the 2012 injury-plagued team to be an underdog. They won a TON of games, but based on paper statistics/shortened line-up, etc. they technically shouldn't have won near as many as they did...especially as the season wore on. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 20(+) wins this year will be a huge achievement IMO Quote
Jheria Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Maybe we should just call him Jim? I googled it and that's his middle name 1 Quote

Going into the season is what I mean. Maybe the first year in the new englestad? Or even the mid 90's? Quote

Wilbur Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 As long as we're going down memory lane with Rusty..... Quote
MafiaMan Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Whoa! He liked it! What a great goal that was...Chris Harrington got faked right out of his jock on that move. Quote
Wilbur Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Whoa! He liked it! What a great goal that was...Chris Harrington got faked right out of his jock on that move. My favorite part was Harrington completely gave up afterwards. He could have easily taken a penalty at the end to prevent Spirko from scoring the goal. He just watches Rusty put it home. Without looking can you remember who got the game winning goal that game? Quote
