siouxforce19 Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 The Lake Erie Monsters ... http://www.startribune.com/sports/gophers/blogs/118054484.html I have no other comments. actually, he's not with Lake Erie. He just went there on an amateur-tryout after the season. He's actually heading over to Europe somewhere, the last I heard. Thank goodness. Far away from me. He's creepy. Quote

Maybe he can take a lesson from the Sedin Twins. Quote
Siouxman Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 In all honesty, Cepis did bring some characteristics to the Gophers that we all like to have on our team and hate to see on the other team. He unfortunately also brought his diving regime and his tendency to do some dirty things. Quote
Big A HG Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 I agree with the above poster. Cepis was quite the actor, but when he wanted to bring it, he could. He brought quite the spark to a dead Gophers team while there. Quote
108498 Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 how can the sioux be ranked third in the nation, when the schudule has yet to come out.? Isn't the ranking based on how hard schudules look and who is on the teams? Quote

The No. 3 ranking is one website's opinion. Quote

And I would call that really optimistic. I'm as jaded as any other Sioux fan but even considering the strength of our defense and goaltending I couldn't rank us in the top 10 until we find out if we can consistently put the puck in the net, especially the first half of the season. Frattin, Malone, Trupp, Hextall, Genoway, Gregoire...it will take a stellar effort from the group coming in to produce half the scoring that these guys did the last couple years, and that concerns me. Wilbur Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 The ranking is kind of like when the Ralph opened back in 2001, and that team with all sorts of Freshman coming in was given a high ranking (might have been a top five ranking right away), and Dean Blais was baffled as to why his young team was ranked so highly. jodcon Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Season hockey tickets were in the morning mail. Just curious, do they say 'Fighting Sioux' on them this year? Quote
YaneA Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Just curious, do they say 'Fighting Sioux' on them this year? Yes, they do. Almost all the enclosures have Fighting Sioux references; noticeable exception is the NCAA Compliance brochure.* * Oh, I see I am in error. Even the compliance brochure mentions "Fighting Sioux" as part of the URL for the UND compliance office webpage. Quote
Big A HG Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 ryan hill wore # 28 last season also....he played against USA under-18 team #28 was Ryan's number yes, but he didn't play in a true "game". Yes, he played in an exhibition, but he techincally never "played" despite that because it wasn't an official game. Quote
