You get excited, want to support them, and they're gone. 1% of college FB players get drafted. Another half % may get a look see. If you're transferring because of weather, personality conflict, family reason or moving down for play time, ok fine. But unless you were a bonafide 3.5+ star in HS your odds of making a living in FB are damn low. Enjoy college. It's the best 4-5 years of your life. My .02 Think it’s pretty simple. For many …it all comes down to being pampered. The attention they get when they enter their name into the portal is instant gratification. Comes across as narcissistic. Me me me me me . That’s today’s generation. I get that there is a host of different reasons why a player would like to transfer and it has been going on for years. But in today’s world ……with the mass exodus happening at every level of every sport …. it just seems to ignite the egos of a majority that need constant pampering and attention. I will add that I have no issue if a player wants to transfer once but when you have guys that have been with 3 or 4 programs….that indicates a me me me me me me situation. Doesn’t give two sha&@ about the team Also ….i think a player has every right to transfer if a coach leaves. No issue with that either. Quote

Didn't think my statement was as controversial as it became. Losing four impact players by Wednesday of Week 1 (portal) was a lot. IF those are the only four impact players that enter, that would be a success (imo). TBD really, but more optimistic. If we get a Rucker is coming back post, then I'll be all the way back. Quote

Prop the same advice given to SS Lots of bad advice out there now. Lots of “agents” with no credentials trying to make a quick dime off these kids. Which is why, unless you’re getting 7 figures from a power 4 school, you stay. Would be wise to return, as I’ve posted ad nauseam on here. Making some quick cash is nothing if your future (including pro prospects) isn’t protected. Don’t become a pawn. Stay with those who care and will develop you. UND’s football facilities and staff are now some of the best - if not the best - in all of FCS football, including ag college of Fargo. Take advantage of that. No unnecessary risk. 6 Quote

If SS ends up a Gopher I will have numerous oppties to watch him.......assuming he sees the field other than as a return guy. Fleming likely looking for warmer weather. I reluctantly wish them well, but I doubt they'll stand out like they have in the MVFC. Quote
