If they don't like hard work, then it's probably best they go someplace else.

I know it’s not popular, but North Dakota isn’t for everyone for myriad reasons

Really disappointed in these kids. You get excited, want to support them, and they're gone. 1% of college FB players get drafted. Another half % may get a look see. If you're transferring because of weather, personality conflict, family reason or moving down for play time, ok fine. But unless you were a bonafide 3.5+ star in HS your odds of making a living in FB are damn low. Enjoy college. It's the best 4-5 years of your life.

My .02

Think it’s pretty simple.  For many …it all comes down to being pampered. The attention they get when they enter their name into the portal is instant gratification.  Comes across as narcissistic. Me me me me me .  That’s today’s generation.  I get that there is a host of different reasons why a player would like to transfer and it has been going on for years.  But in today’s world ……with the mass exodus happening at every level of every sport …. it just seems to ignite the egos of a majority that need constant pampering and attention.

I will add that I have no issue if a player wants to transfer once but when you have guys that have been with 3 or 4 programs….that indicates a me me me me me me situation.  Doesn’t give two sha&@ about the team

Also ….i think a player has every right to transfer if a coach leaves. No issue with that either.

I'll feel better when he gets a new OC - otherwise Isaac's bizarre calls will be on him.

Agree, Schmidt will own the crappy offensive calls or crappy red zone performance next year if its like this year.

Awesome news!! 6 regulars on the o line, plus South and Hromadka! Lots of leadership within these 8 players that will build a strong foundation.

701 Moving Co.!

This is great news. If the o line isn't good, the football team isn't going to be good regardless of who else stays

Do you feel better now?  Sky is not falling.  Give me the o line back, plus the QB and some key skill guys (Deng and Tai plus a few younger guys) and we are in an ok spot on offense.

Then Wednesday, yes, a bit. Didn't think my statement was as controversial as it became. Losing four impact players by Wednesday of Week 1 (portal) was a lot. IF those are the only four impact players that enter, that would be a success (imo). TBD really, but more optimistic. If we get a Rucker is coming back post, then I'll be all the way back.

However SS was a given and Bleu graduated.

SS and Fleming will definitely be missed. If SS ends up a Gopher I will have numerous oppties to watch him.......assuming he sees the field other than as a return guy. Fleming likely looking for warmer weather. I reluctantly wish them well, but I doubt they'll stand out like they have in the MVFC.

A JYD policy should be and probably is, "if you want out, get the Fck out week 1".

You mean the PAC 2, right?

Are they going to resurrect that conference?

2026 Pac 12

2026 Mountain West

  • Returning Core: Air Force, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, San Jose State, UNLV, Wyoming.
  • New Additions:
    • Northern Illinois (NIU): Joins as a football-only member.
    • UTEP: Joins as a full member, bringing football and rivalry with New Mexico.

Look for 3 addtitions for 2027 with NDSU being one of them.

Read somewhere that a rediculous number, like 2/3, of DII portal entries do NOT find a new team.

Some of that is bad advice, others are just silent retiring.
