If you weren't introduced to college hockey until 1999, you are considered a Newbie (a BRAND Newbie) and may be seen but not heard. And if being seen is important to you, send whatever self-pics this forum allows. The good news is that you can move on from your Newbie status in ten years, so hopefully the Mavs will still have a team at that time. Owen Power is the last super-tall, high-end defenseman that comes to mind. In his age 16 season, Power averaged just under half a point per game in the USHL. Morin would have likely went 1 overall in the Q draft if not for signing a Tender with Youngstown.
