They need to hire a high end recruiter…with new age philosophy. National search. I feel bad for Bubs, awesome guy. This thing was kind of getting away from him and recruiting has been falling behind.

I don’t think that will happen. I think he’s just in place for the transition to the new coach while the national search is happening.

The next head coach can't be Dane Jackson.  Unless he's been butting heads with Berry for years and wants a completely different concept on the ice.

They were not on the same page that is for sure. 
 
players would buy in/play harder for him. But at this point, a total reset is needed.

Now we'll see what happens with the current players.

If the players were wanting a change...then we won't see much portal movement.
If the players liked Berry's direction for UND...then we're gonna see a wave of portal entrants and recruits decommit.

Gonna be an interesting portal season for sure. 
I'm not sure how that portal exemption works exactly when a coaching change is made...are UND players allowed to enter portal at anytime before season starts now?  Like starting now and ending in October?  It's normally 45 days from March 30...unless their scholarship changes or there is a coaching change.

No more internal hires.

Do a real national search. Advertise aggressively. Get a diverse group of applicants.

Narrow it down to three finalists.

Hire one of them and let them run the program as they see fit.
