Do you think the building of all the inside tunnels will help recruit warm-weather student athletes?

Past experience in the professional world of hiring I have seen people who have moved to cold weather climates struggle.

Pro: it's only a couple of years, it's a good life experience, there are plenty of tunnels, it's only a couple of months, you can dress for it. As the Norwegians like to say "there is no bad weather, just bad clothes."

Con: Some just can't handle it, the lure from a warm weather school

Nope it has been off the charts.  I look at the goalie position at UND that has been relegated to a portal goalie every year and has turned into a dumpster fire.  I don't like filling the most important position with a transfer.   This program is in a rebuild mold get a young QB and groom them.  I hate to say it but look at the successful QBs at NDSU they come from recruiting not the portal.

What a ridiculous take. You also recruit from the portal. If Arch Manning said he wants to take his talents to the Frozen tundra you wouldn't say yes. If there are current options on the roster, great. But it's clear the past decade we have recruited game manager low ceiling higher floor guys at QB, rather than looking for potential and trying to develop.  That gets you 7 and 5, 8 and 4 type seasons. Excited to see what a more aggressive approach might bring.

Arch Manning, really? Comparing the number one recruited QB in the country to a backup freshman QB at San Diego State.  My point is there are people on this board that think this kid is the savior and will walk on water.  Let's wait and see as there is a reason he is moving down levels.

Eric watched this guy up close the last year.  If Eric wants him, I'm good.

Sure, I'll give it a shot. After some research, here's what I deduced and came up with:

- Washington (S)

- Wyoming (TE)

- Fresno St (LB)

- ODU (EDGE)

- Mankato (RC)

- Augustana (WR)

These are just hypotheticals only and not to be taken seriously.

The first step here is trusting the talent evaluation skills of our new head coach.
