I still think with some better OC work, the 2021 team was Bubbas best team.  In a couple of those losses, the coaching was squarely to blame.

Key word SOME very good players. I’m not sure it’s just the scheme is lacking. Need some better dudes on the outside. LB’s and ends couldn’t get to the QB. I’m willing to change the defense but I don’t think that’s the root of the problem.

Yeah, pretty dumb take, considering NDSU built a dynasty an hour away and SDSU and USD are seeded #1 and #3.

Money, that’s my excuse. Do we have enough of it to make a change? NDSU boosters have enough to make a big coaching change, do we? Probably not…..

there is not excuse for this season , no one is satisfied how it ended. The response to fire everyone is not realistic because we DONT HAvE THE MONEY!!!!

Hoops is 4-1! On we move. Head Coach is a figure. Roger Thomas coached kick off return. So it’s not the head coach. 
Who knows he may have wanted to let Boy wonder go? Fruend has chance to turn program around and he chose pocket passes. Again. 
we don’t have downfield speed. If by chance we get open downfield, QB cant hit them. Tommy gun won a ton of games. Needs to move on.

At this point who cares. Do you want to be sitting here in another 10 years going 7-5 for the 15th straight time? 

I use to be with you...and didn't want to have a major shift but I'm so sick of this. I have literally zero hope for doing anything next year at this point. At least if we start over you have hope that something better may be coming. News flash, Bubba isn't going to ever take a team on a playoff run. The guy is like 2-20 on the road. 

Remember the last program Bubba walked away from as head coach, oh ya.....they won a National Championship with those same players the next year.

if you have a wholesale change at coaches it normally means you don't have a lot of high end good players........so pissed....wanted that north/south game next week.

but ames it is...tommy two gloves under center and bubba on the sidelines......

So which is it then? UND can’t afford to buy out the contract or UND chooses not too? 
 

if Bubbas contract was up I would be all for moving on to new leadership. Especially if we were willing to bring in a more expensive head coach. Not willing to just sell the house for nothing guaranteed

You’re delaying the inevitable. If players want to transfer due to a coaching change I’m fine with that. Means they’re not interested in building a championship team or they’re getting by with stuff that a new staff won’t put up with.
