LH Golfer Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 all week we heard how desperately UNI needed to win. And their level of play showed it. It seemed like we weren't ready for that. UND has a big psychological hurdle to get over. Not sure how to do that. 1 Quote
UND-FB-FAN Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 I have a theory to explain the past couple weeks, and I’m almost certain I’m correct, but I don’t feel like bullsh*ting back and forth on this forum. All I know is the result today was somewhat predictable, even though we all wished against it, and that is sad. Season moves on. Same ol’ same ol’ …Change is glacial around these parts. Good evening folks. 2 Quote

SlowHand Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Look here my peeps. You beat NDSU this year. Maybe it's not the ultimate goal, but it's not fish heads either. The Championship this year is a pipe dream, but you got a little revenge on NDSU. Settle for that. Its a step. 2 Quote
SiouxHawkGuy Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 % of fans at the Ralph that knows UND hosts other sports? Quote
Midwestern Hawk Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 I had hope after last week, because Bubba broke a tendency by beating NDSU. The follow up disaster @UNi was certainly back to the decade of a Bubba ball at UND. 1 Quote

Absolutely a terrible job of the entire staff getting the team to look past that NDSU game and on to the next week. They were not ready at all, and they got smoked by a team with a defensive guy playing RB. Tommy was bad, Bubba was bad, Danny was bad.....everyone was bad. 9 Quote
Kab Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 But they had a good week of preparation must have been p h Quote

UND-FB-FAN Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 “UND running back Gaven Ziebarth, who has emerged as the Fighting Hawks' go-to ball-carrier, was hurt on a 3-yard run with 10:47 left in the second quarter. Ziebarth, who suffered a lower-body injury, didn't return to the game. Ziebarth, who ran for more than 150 yards against North Dakota State last Saturday, finished with four carries for 27 yards. "I haven't talked to sports medicine," Schweigert said. "He got twisted up there. We'll learn more tomorrow, and you'll have to deal with it." “ ?? Quote
UND-FB-FAN Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Something tells me Dale Lennon didn’t talk to the team last night … Quote

Hans8891 Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Last week we controlled the trenches and our linebackers and secondary came up hard to meet the play. I thought we turned the corner and went back to hard nosed UND defense of old. Then we go back to this. Compliment that with a passing scheme that is entirely behind the line of scrimmage and here we are. I was thinking about driving down to vermillion but having visions of the 40 point blowout I witnessed the last time I went down there thinking we could compete on the road… Quote
siouxweet Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 These are 20 year old kids playing college football. Emotional let downs have been known to happen even to the best FBS schools. Win out and there is nothing to worry about. 2 Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Do we break 8000 for attendance next week? I know I'll be there. Quote

Oldguy Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Probably stating the obvious here, but... Never going anywhere with Tommy as QB on the road. Play him at home, play anyone else on the road. O-line: What the hell today? Defense, generally: What the hell today? Quote
